Dear all... . I'm hoping to open the last preorder for Bulbi in the next few days... but before I do, I'd like the chance to say a few things - in relation to the comments above, which were posted on Facebook. The top post was public and below is part of a conversation which I initiated in order to understand why the comment was made. . Firstly, I want to say that Bulbi is 100% resin. I'm not in this hobby to deceive anyone! I don't consider myself a BJD connoisseur and I didn't really concern myself with how other BJDs are made when I went about designing Bulbi... I myself don't think the weight of a doll is synonomous with the quality, but I understand if some collectors do - So, I want to explain that Bulbi's head, in particular, might feel lightweight and indeed it is! I made it this way so that she could stand and support her own head. I apologise if this came as a shock to anyone! But she is definitely resin - you have seen the photos by Haru of the casting process. . Secondly, although Bulbi is professionally cast, she is still 'handmade' - and while the hallmarks of a handmade item shouldn't necessarily be considered 'defects' - I encourage anyone who is unhappy with the quality of their doll to contact me in the first instance... I'm not happy if you are unhappy. Simple as! . Lastly, I like to try and live by the 'do-as-you-would-be-done-by' motto and so it really hurts me that it's apparently so easy to bring someone down publicly and make false statements without a second thought... . I have been lucky enough to receive THREE Ken dolls recently, and stunners they are too. My boyfriend thinks the Rockstar Ken’s current look is rather ‘questionable’ so he will definitely be getting some extra TLC! (Ken, not the boyfriend, unfortunately for him.) I think the other two are shaving related Kens, possibly from the 1990s?
