Finally bit the bullet today. After my doctor yelled at me again asking why I'm making my life harder by not applying for this. Because I guess I felt like I was taking it away from someone else. Or my condition wasn't bad enough to deserve special treatment. Well in his words, these things are there to make your life better. Your life is hard enough. Don't make it unnecessary harder. So now I don't have to take 50 breaks walking from my car to the shop. (To catch my breath). Maybe just 10 breaks. But that's still something! And just because a person "looks healthy" or doesn't "look disabled" in your opinion, you have no idea what struggles they deal with, so don't attack people who Park in these spaces without all the facts. Just politely ask if they have a permit. If they don't, go nuts. But if they do, be understanding. Because it's not always easy when your problems are invisible. #disability #disabilitypride #disabledpeople #disabilityisdiversity #abilitynotdisability #asthmaissues #asthmaproblem #asthmaisnojoke #asthmasucks #asthma #asthmaawareness #asthmaandallergies #asthma #qualityoflifematters #qualityoflife #breathing #invisibledisability #invisibleillness #notheldback (at Ngunnawal Country) https://www.instagram.com/p/CXiJim0BZR-/?utm_medium=tumblr
