now why would he say that………….
y’all ever think about the alpha’s happiness being like the same color as Carolina
Reds and Blues as Teachers in my RWBY AU
We've already done the Headmaster's teams of both Morada and Halo Academies, so this will continue that. There are only 4 teacher teams at each academy, making for 16 teachers per academy, so some of these will be at different academies, but I tried to keep as many of the main Reds and Blues together as possible
Team SLDR (soldier, bringing greens, blues, reds, and grays to mind)
Sergeant 'Sarge' Rojas (yes Sergeant is his real name, it's an actual first name in English and French), he/him, Halo maintenance advisor, mongoose claws, husband of Cherry (from Team SMLC last post)
Weapon: Hellsbane, a shotgun that can shift into a bludgeon, capable of revolving between Dust types in both forms (he enjoys Fire, Lightning, Combustion, Earth, and Rock Dust)
Semblance: Unstoppable. As Sarge runs forward, he gains an increase in strength. The farther he runs, the stronger he gets. This strength bursts after the first physical blow.
Lopez la Pesado, he/him, Halo linguistics/literacy teacher, robot
Weapon: Máquina Mala, a missile pod (like he used to fight Meta in Season 7) that can shift into a large hammer or split into a toolbox and rifle.
Semblance: Chromedome. Lopez can make his body from the shoulders up completely impervious to damage of any kind. Even the strongest attacks to this area will be spread to other parts of the body.
Dexter Grif, he/him, Halo aura studies teacher, seal blubber
Weapon: Gluttony's Craving, a large rifle (think like the Grif Shot minus the blade) that can shift into a leiomano.
Semblance: Slacker. Grif can increase in durability the less he moves. Eventually, he may even absorb attacks to increase his aura.
Richard Simmons, he/him, Halo science teacher (also has many prosthetics. left eye, left arm, chunks of his right arm and legs and torso, both hands, and his back)
Weapon: Divine Theory, a rocket launcher that splits into a drone and a dart launching mace.
Semblance: Data Absorption. Simmons can absorb data from any machine or other source. His brain makes enough storage for the information.
Team DHKL (dhokla, like the Gujarati cake)
Franklin 'Donut' Delano, he/him, Cavern chef, flamingo wings (prosthetics include right hand and right eye)
Weapon: Eternity's Kiss, a hammer that shifts into a grenade launcher/cannon hybrid.
Semblance: Donut Holes. Donut can open portals that can fit up to one person at a time. These portals can go anywhere Donut can picture, and can even make them go up to a minute forward in time.
Huggins Ravnse, she/her, Cavern maintenance advisor, eel bioluminescence, twins with Muggins from Team SMLC
Weapon: Lys-Er-Informasjon, a spear that can extend into a kusarigama or fold into a pistol, and can revolve between Dust types in all forms.
Semblance: Light Form. Huggins can turn into living light. She cannot be harmed in this form, but also cannot interact with physical objects in this state. She can fly at incredible speeds, and is constantly emitting light.
Kaikaina Grif, she/her, Cavern custodian (acting as an assistant to whichever teacher needs her at the time), anteater tongue
Weapon: Nani-O-Ke-Kuko, a pair of pistols that can shift into either hatchets or nunchucks.
Semblance: Illuminate. Kaikaina can create light orbs, anywhere from small bright orbs to miniature blinding stars. This can even leave lasting damage if she overdoes it.
Samuel 'Locus' Ortez, he/him, Cavern survival teacher, panther ears
Weapon: Chorusian Overture, a machinegun rifle that can shift into a bladed railgun or split into a staff and shield.
Semblance: Replicamo. Locus can perfectly replicate his surroundings, altering to hide from all senses (color, scent, texture, etc). Rapid movement interrupts the camouflage.
Team LMLS (lemels, as in metal filings, bringing grays and blues to mind)
Leonard Church II, he/him, Halo mathematics/finance teacher (does more of the finance than the math, he wants these kids to be able to afford a place properly someday) (some of his torso is prosthetic) (also not a robot here, but the Director's distant cousin who he captured and experimented on among others)
Weapon: Fractured Memory, a rifle that can shift into a crossbow/shield hybrid, revolving between Dust types in all forms. (He prefers Rock, Earth, and Ice Dust, if he manages to hit someone they'll be stuck so he can actually do it again.)
Semblance: Fragment. Church can split off attributes of himself, like rage or logic, to assist in certain situations like a colorful copy. However, he will have less of that issue for a time, so if he splits off an attribute like Joy then he will be a bit less happy for that period.
Michael Caboose, he/him, Halo custodian, golden retriever tail (has a prosthetic left pinky toe).
Weapon: Friendly Risk Conquering Loyal Safeguard (FReCkLeS), a machinegun rifle that splits into a golf club and small missile-launching robot with mantis-like legs.
Semblance: Stupefy. Caboose can make anything he touches become a total mess. Weapons misfire, vehicles crash and burn, computers glitch and catch on fire, etc.
Lavernius Tucker, he/him, Halo Grimm studies teacher
Weapon: Future's Key, a blade that can fire energy bullets or shift into a DMR.
Semblance: Tune In. Tucker can draw attention from others, becoming more durable for each set of eyes on him.
Sheila Filyss, she/her, Halo history teacher, scorpion tail, robot (Filyss is a joke on Freelancer Integrated Logistics and Security System, with the "y" replacing the word "and" in Spanish)
Weapon: Pedipalp's Ragnarok, a rocket launcher (as in a tank cannon) that can shift into a hammer or extend into a flail.
Semblance: Evil Eye. Sheila can make a transparent screen in front of her face, enhancing her vision. It can also bend light to fire a destructive laser.
Team WTDOC (waterdock, bringing drab browns and blues to mind)
David 'Washington' Lucas, he/him, Halo fitness instructor, cat ears (all of the fingers on his left hand are prosthetic)
Weapon: Surviving Scrappers, a rifle and a pair of tazer/knife hybrids that can combine into a pickaxe/dart launcher hybrid.
Semblance: Memory Fog. Wash can generate a mist that can temporarily steal memories.
Beth 'Texas' Church, nee McCallister, she/her, Halo stealth/security teacher, Allison's younger cousin (also not a robot here, but was captured, had her memories wiped, and place in highly advanced armor for the project). (Texas doesn't share any blood with Leonard).
Weapon: Asphyxia Eris, a pair of gauntlets that fire machinegun ammo, and can turn into machete/pistol hybrids.
Semblance: Cloaking Scales. Tex can turn her aura into reflective scales, turning her almost completely invisible and improving her durability. The scales can only reflect so much energy before breaking down into aura once more.
Francis 'Doc & O'Malley' DuFresne, he/him, Halo wellness counselor, ferret claws
Weapon: Oblivion's Reclamation, a dart launcher/grenade launcher hybrid that can shift into either a healing unit/pistol or a rocket launcher.
Semblance: System Boost. Doc can boost the systems of whoever he chooses, increasing their regenerative and muscular systems. O'Malley tends to use this on himself, while Doc will typically use it to help heal others, only using it on himself to run even faster.
Carolina Church, she/her, Halo combat instructor, sister figure to Leonard II and distant cousin to both Leonard and Texas (though they are on opposite sides of the family).
Weapon: Necessity's Redemption, a pair of gauntlets that turn into grappling hook rifles, and can revolve between Dust types in both forms (she prefers Lightning and Hardlight Dust).
Semblance: Pinnacle. Carolina's can enhance her abilities by up to an additional 150%.
Story for Church family: Carolina is the daughter of Director and Allison. Allison died when Carolina was young. In this AU, Director didn't experiment with AI, but he was still experimenting with his own mind by taking a copy of it, fracturing it, and working with Counselor to blend those fragments into the minds of different abductees, most of whom were teens at the time, the only exceptions being Leonard II (who he had little to no knowledge of prior to capturing him) and Beth (who he knew was a cousin of Allison), with those two being late 20s/early 30s at the time. The fragments were originally AI for the Freelancer agents (barring Alpha and Beta), but when the project went under due to actions of Texas, Wash, and the Reds and Blues, he was able to get those fragments back and complete this experiment on the abductees. Eventually, they were freed by the Reds and Blues after the Director, Counselor, and Chairman were all done away with. While Leonard II and Texas joined these makeshift teams, the other AI/abductee kids, with only memory from during the Project, became two teams at Halo Academy.
Do you ever think about like what goes on in the AI classroom off screen. Do you think the Director has pulled any of those like teacher speeches like “Agent York, Agent North and Agent Washington. Are we going to have a problem or will I have to move you three to separate ends of the classroom I am growing tired of your bafoonery. You’re disruptan the lesson and unless you’d like to come up here and teach the class yourself, I would suggest you’d be quiet. I trusted you all with the libertay of picking your own seats, and you delibratahly choose to make me regret it”Or what

Hey guys!!! Daily reminder that I HATE CHURCH. I HATE HIM I HATE HIM OMFGG 😭
Actually I'm still thinking about it. Another interesting way in which RvB is anti-war is the way that the Director fills the role of a villain and antagonist (especially in the Recollections trilogy, where he's a faceless villain we never see but is responsible for everything that happens).
In his memos to the Chairman, the Director emphasizes his sense of duty and obligation to the military- he becomes irate for the first time when he feels that it's being implied that he was derelict in his duty... or that the work he did out of that duty is being criticized for being against the military's interests. He also talks about Allison's death in a way I find... interesting.
"You were my greatest creation" he says to his little computer guy, as his badass cool as hell daughter is FIVE FEET AWAY
