I don’t think I’ve spoken about this before, but i really do not like Sheila. I always see people saying she’s this amazing mother and lovely person and it’s so laughably untrue! Sheila shows how people can seem nice, act sweet and polite, but still do terrible, terrible things.
She not only allowed but condoned Karen’s relationship to a 30 year old man when she was 16 (i think, correct me if I’m wrong), to the point where she was criticising Karen for not wanting to be with him anymore and letting him back in the house after she kicked him out. A good mother would have called the police on him or dealt with him herself and definitely would have stepped in after he was blatantly harassing her by sleeping right outside their house.
THEN, she proceeds to get with this man herself. Then, when Karen wants to give her baby up for adoption (something she wanted to do the majority of her pregnancy, by the way), Sheila just takes it and chooses the new baby over her. It’s disgusting.
She’s also awful as a person, aside from as a mother, because she rapes frank. Frank’s a bad person in his own right, but she still rapes him.
So I really do not like her and am always amazed when i see how much love she has in the fandom.

Morphine - "Sheila" From the album Cure for Pain (September 14, 1993)
Last song scrobbled from iTunes at Last.fm
“I asked chatGPT” yeah and I asked Sheila- SHEILA!!! NO PLEASE GOD NO
I've been using a fairly old drawing of Sheila with sunglasses in some kind of Lisa Frank hellscape in the background as my avatar on various socials for a long time and I figure, now that Sheila has an official new design in 2026, it's time to make a new avatar, this one less Lisa Frank more 80's 90's Californian, because that's my jam.
Who's that little man looking up at her? I don't know. I made him up on the spot, but he's inspired by the Tamagotchi characters, Mametchi, and Maskutchi. Mametchi, because I gave Sheila a pixelated Mametchi as a pet in my Tomodachi Life game, and Maskutchi because he's my favorite. Is he canon? I don't know, maybe. I like him.
