Wash and Tucker’s relationship is always going to be so crazy to me. Like, Tucker’s a core character that’s been there since day 1. Wash gets introduced in season 6. They don’t have any real interaction until season 10 and even then it’s, like, a couple scenes here and there. Then there’s season 11 where it’s basically the first time they have proper conversations and scenes together.
They pass by each other before finding each other when they need it most. Tucker had just lost his best friend for the second time and he wasn’t there for it yet again and Wash had nowhere to go and needed a place to stay
They just kinda feel like two people who weren’t supposed to meet, yet found each other against all odds

But honestly I think it'd be better if he did. Because all the analysis about "akechi doesn't touch anyone with his bare hands because a) it's another layer to his superficial personality and b) he sees himself, and thus anything he touches, as cursed". Is REALLY good and makes sense for his character.
