Thanks for the tag, @kentozone. :) I hope you are having a decent enough day!
🎵 Last song I listened to: This, after watching it on a Choso edit, and, ahem, let’s just say it changed my views on things.
📺 Last series: Heated Rivalry, and I’m so glad I watched it, but I have so many opinions that aren’t exactly in good favour of the show.
🎬 Last movie: The Nice Guys, which I forgot I’d watched years ago lol, and before that, Blades of Glory, because @mullermilkshake rec’d it and it was good. My mom liked it too.
🥇 Best thing about the last month: Got back into writing and started learning more softwares. I also learned sewing on a portable machine I bought like three years ago or more, and I fixed a top of mine, so now I feel invincible because I can fix my own clothes. Not perfectly, but as long as the stitch is inside and in a straight line, you can’t tell lol. So no more money wasted at tailors who don’t give my clothes back on time.
📚 Currently reading: The Dhammapada—I’m half Buddhist, so going back to childhood has been great for me, even though I’m not really super religious—1984, and bro, I’m blown away every time I read some shit we currently have that George Orwell basically clocked. Like the speakwrite feels way too close to AI transcribers, especially because transcription tools can also be a privacy breach when they aren’t safe to use, even when we have to use them for work meetings, etc.
Also Kafka’s letters to Milena. He was so cynical and sarcastic but so sweet and never mean to/with her despite her being married to a whole ass other man. I even feel like she treated him like a nuisance sometimes at least, and both of them died with the same issues, bro. Bye. He’d have loved us, Gen Z and millennial people.
Also, he gives me Megumi (older) vibes, like 70%+, and Nanami vibes too, at least 60%, because he’s not much of a rebel in the same way. He still falls into the path society forces him into, while Megumi is capable of going completely rogue and off-grid, which is something I feel like Kafka also had in him. So, for one of the stories I’m writing, it helps nail Megumi’s character. Okay, wait, Toji and Kashimo too! Omg, I didn’t think of that.
Also, I’m reading slowly because I’m not finding enough time lately, not because I’m a slow reader.
🎮 Currently playing: Arena Breakout: Infinite, slowly trying to get back into a hobby that isn’t another job. I love that the game lets you practice before dumping you into CS-level stress because I have been out of practice for a while.
👾 Currently working on: Too much, but mostly trying to create a small software I can use to track my own health because with CPTSD, I feel like none of the apps work for that. I have severe self-neglect type (not on unhygienic levels), like I’ll prioritise tasks given by others over whether I need to drink water or eat, relax, go to the doctor, etc.
🌶️ Sweet/spicy/savory: Depends on the mood. Also, I prefer mildly sour snacks.
🎨 Favorite color: Magenta red. Pantone name: “Celebration.”
🤩 Current obsession: Honestly, too many things at once, which is probably the problem.
☕️ Tea or coffee: Just like you, Gigi, I love coffee too, but I’ll pretty much drink anything. Like rn I’m drinking room-temp cold coffee with freaking watermelon pre-workout creatine in it, so yes, I make my own combos. I also made jaljeera x black coffee a few days ago, and it was really good. I love green tea on rainy days and black tea when my body feels heavier and more pained from PTSD.
My fav has to be iced tea, though.
🌐 Last internet search: “how long to boil chicken to make it tender and buttery rice.” I cooked after ages because I normally don’t get to cook.
Tagging ~ @mullermilkshake (only once you are home and feeling better, babes), @rahuratna (because I wanna know the exclusive content in your head, princess), and @favoritesupernova (heyy).
Dividers are my own.
Así como la abeja recoge la esencia de una flor y se marcha volando sin destruir su belleza u su perfume, así también debe pasar el sabio por esta vida.

“Conquer anger with lack of anger; bad, with good; stinginess, with a gift; a liar, with truth.”
-Dhammapada, verse 223
Dhammapada 404
Him I call indeed a Brahmana who keeps aloof both from laymen and from mendicants, who frequents no houses, and has but few desires.
