Khaire! My name is Will (or Freak) and I'm an intermediate level ceramics artist inspired by ancient polytheistic religion. I am a practicing Hellenic polytheist and I dedicate my craft to the Theoi. What would be a good way to incorporate the little one when he's old enough to want to join in?

I've talked to my husband about using things like arts and crafts for offerings, letting the kid join in prayer, and keeping things kid safe, but i wanted to hear some suggestions.

Example: me and my husband were talking, and painting was brought up. water based paints or water colors would wash away in the rain and we could make pottery and paint it as offerings in a way that it's an activity the kid enjoys and would be a devotional activity they could do multiple times. The rain washing away the paint for them to be able to paint it again.

I had the honor of crafting my own idol for Aphrodite this month 🐚💕 the photos are a timeline of Her creation, about 2 1/2 weeks worth of effort.

She was fired in American "raku" style (not true raku) and She is very iridescent in person !! I can't put into words how amazing it felt to form the statue from mud, gently glaze it, carry it to the sacred flames, and then slowly lower it into cool waters. I feel so much pride and love when I hold it. the glaze was meant to resemble the dark oceans, but glaze does what it desires <3

A modest ceramic bowl with the carved image of a snake. one half is living and the other half dead. painted wheat surrounds the snake on top of the stone-like inner surface of the bowl. The imagery reflects Kore and Demeter's irreplaceable roles in the natural cycles of earth and agriculture.

A hand-thrown offering bowl carved with the image of Isis in Her winged form. All aspects of this bowl were completed by hand!

This vessel is 3in x 5in, food safe, and dual sided.

I'm excited to announce that soon I'll be selling hand-made devotional vessels & artwork <3 I'm still a beginner when it comes to pottery, but I'm doing my best to create quality bowls for the Divine. everything will be hand-thrown, hand-painted, and designed with care.

I've been away from Tumblr for a while due to financial hardships and major life events. my artwork is the only kind of income I have right now, so if you can't or don't wish to buy it would help a lot to spread the word 🫶

I'll be posting progress and updates whenever I have them. the two pictured above should be finished soon and I hope to make progress on a Lararium-inspired plaque dedicated to Apollon.
