✨N With a Really Dense Reader!✨

* He is a sweet man. He loves Pokemon, nature, and now you. Something about you really draws him in. Maybe it’s the fact you don’t mind his strange traits or maybe even consider his ideals with an open heart and mind. And that makes him feel absolutely smitten by you. He usually is an expert on pokemon but relationships and social cues with other humans were much more difficult to understand. But he still decides to try, seeing you were worth trying for.

* However- he quickly sees the new problem that arises. How? Well he tries a shy yet subtle way of trying to court you. Taking you out on moonlit picnics or giving you meaningful gifts. Being genuine since it’s how he truly feels about you. Only to overhear you saying “Yeah N is so cool! He’s the best friend I could ever ask for!”

* Got that man questioning what the hell did he do wrong. He was SURE his stories about romance gave very point blank romance advice. Roses, beautiful areas to dine at, genuine compliments…ok yeah he shouldn’t rely on fiction either but he’s trying. So what is he doing wrong?

* He even goes to his pokemon team, getting their opinions too. And his team are pretty observant bunches. And they all sigh and had to break it down to him in their language: You meant well. But didn’t really know if his gestures were romantic or just genuinely nice since…well to be fair on your part, N is ALWAYS nice. Which makes N surprised. Could that really be the reason you didn’t understand or seem to notice? Did you think he was…just being nice? Courting people is harder than he expected.

* So what do they devise? Bolder attempts! And N isn’t really sure how to but he practically becomes a literal malewife: Cooking for you, supporting you in your hobbies or battles, helping you with chores or your Pokemon. And STILL you struggled to get why he was suddenly so dedicated. Like you can see he’s acting differently but you didn’t know why. And this guy is now worried he’s made you uncomfortable by being too “persistent”.

* You can practically hear his Pokemon facepalm their own faces. So…His Zoroark straight up shoved (gently) N right at you. You both collided and thankfully he caught you before you could fall to the ground. And for once, you look up at him, blushing at the proximity and well being held by someone as pretty as N. And for the first time in awhile, he had the brightest smile seeing you blush like that. The reality finally hit you like a brick- that man was holding you like you were the world to him.

* After a proper discussion and a thousand apologies on your end, he simply smiles and asks properly to date you.

* And of course, how could you say no to him now?

Mini story time:

N couldn’t help but chuckle softly seeing you rushed and flustered, apologizing when you FINALLY saw through his intentions. He wasn’t mad or upset, never at you. He felt frustrated at first but now, he feels like he’s won the lottery. He listens to your every word, letting you finish before gently taking your hand into his. Holding onto it like he was afraid of dropping something so precious.

“I…would like to apologize too, (Y/n). I haven’t been completely open with you myself. I…was afraid of making you uncomfortable with my advances. I must admit…relationships are much more complex than friendships with pokemon,” He chuckles though, feeling a bit embarrassed from his own ignorance but much more relaxed feeling your hand in his, “So…I’ll stop avoiding the true feelings I have for you. (Y/n)…I wish to date you. Romantically. I understand if you might not want that with me but I can ensure my feelings are true and I…would be very happy if you felt the same as well.”

You looked at him, finally seeing him like it was the first time ever. And he was pouring his heart out to you. You didn’t think he truly saw you as more than a friend. And this revelation was probably the best thing you’ve heard all day. He gets nervous when you take a hot minute to process everything before giving him a smile that made his heart racing.

“Um…yes??? Of course I’d date you! I know you said it’s ok but shit I am SO sorry for not noticing sooner! Sweet arceus everything makes SO much more sense now…and you did it all for me…” You can’t help but laugh, “I promise to repay it back ok? Hugs, kisses, whatever you want! And…maybe we should be more upfront about this stuff.”

He laughs before pulling you into a big hug, “I think I can agree to those terms…if it means having you in my life. As my lover. Or um…girlfriend. I’ll have to get used to the term.”

You both can’t help but laugh at the heartwarming moment

Y/n: Wow. They sound stupid.

Elijah: But they’re not. They’re really smart actually. Just dense.

Y/n: Maybe you need to be more obvious? Like, I don’t know… 'Hey! I love you!

Elijah: I guess you’re right. Hey y/n, I love you

Y/n: See! Just say that!

Elijah: Holy fucking shit.

Y/n: If that flies over their head then, sorry Elijah, but they're too dumb for you.

Me oblivious: huh?

Stranger: *Flirts*

Me: *flustered* what?

FO: oh so they get a reaction when they flirt with you but I dont!?

Me: YOU FLIRT WITH ME!?

Honestly? Alcina doesn't really mind how oblivious you are.

It's cute, and very charming. She'll comment about how good of a couple you two would be, and you'll beam at her, obviously flattered, and say that you appreciate her friendship just as much!

...Not exactly what she was aiming for, but she'll take it💕

Alcina's the only person in your life vying for your attention (she'll make sure of that), so it's not like there's any pressure for her to get you to understand her feelings right away. There's no deadline to your relationship--she has all the time in the world to get you on the same page.

Lady Dimitrescu is more than happy to play the long game to get you to feel more comfortable about being in a relationship together.

She'll take you on long walks, host private dinners, gift you thoughtful presents.... Basically Alcina tries to get you to actively go on dates with her. At the same time, she's asking you about your thoughts and feelings on romance.

Alcina's trying to get a bigger picture of why you're so oblivious to people making passes at you. Are you insecure? Do you not believe you're attractive enough for someone to love you? Can you even recognize feelings of love?

If you're so dense that she can say "I love you", and you think it's a platonic emotion? Yeah, Alcina has her work cut out for her.

Her long term goal becomes easing you into a relationship.

She drowns you in affection until you get used to it, easing you into thinking that her kisses are normal for your relationship.

Frankly, it's adorable watching your eyebrows furrow as you try to puzzle out the reason that Alcina presses kisses up your neck and to the corner of your lips. You get increasingly flustered the closer she get to her prize, and you might even let out a nervous laugh or comment on how friendly she's being.

"Yes," Alcina croons, mouthing the words so close you can feel her lips brush against yours, "friendly."

You start sweating

She's long stopped being subtle with you, and starts explicitly stating that her intentions are romantic.

Honestly she starts to come on so strong at this point that if you're not picking up her hints, you probably are never going to.

One day, if you're not careful, you're going to wake up with a ring on your finger after a "platonic" wedding, and Alcina laying beside you, wearing nothing but the world's smuggest smile.

No idea if the forensic science in the US is the same or similar to Australia. Pretty sure if they’re not the same, they will be similar.

Forensic: Agent? Could you render the gun? (sheepishly) Haven’t done my firearm training yet.

You: Yeah. (Casually helping the investigator with the gun)

Hotch: (With crossed arms, watching you two from far. He can’t hear what you’re talking about with the forensic, but the smile on your face unnerves him.)

Rossi: (smugly) F/N’s always helpful, a good agent.

Hotch: (ignores his friend, and narrows his eyes when he hears the forensic asking for your details)

Hotch: What did the forensic want?

You: (shrug) Just wanted my help with the gun. 

Hotch: (face goes darker) I meant the detail you gave.

You: (gives Hotch a strange look) Just needed my detail because I was the one who rendered the gun. 

Hotch: They never ask me to do that for them.

You: With your I’m-your-boss look, I’m pretty sure I was the approachable one to ask.

Hotch: Ask Morgan to do it later.

You: Why?

Hotch: (Just leaves you alone)

...I hate to say it, but this is a disaster combo, for sure.

Here's the thing about Salvatore Moreau : for as much as he tries to hide it, if you know him well enough it's pretty easy to tell when he has feelings for someone.

He has a couple of surefire tells that let you know he has feelings for you.

Mainly: Moreau does have a speech impediment, and when he gets too flustered, overwhelmed or angry, it will get worse. I only say this because he is a messsss around you. Stuttering, drawing out vowels, you name it. When he has a crush on you all of his verbal tics come out full force if he doesn't have a minute to compose himself.

He also stares. A lot. You'll be talking about something as simple as what you two might want for dinner, and Salvatore is staring at you with blatant heart eyes.

Unfortunately for everyone involved, you seem physically incapable of picking up on social cues.

You're confused and a little sad if he starts to trip up when he speaks. Did you say something wrong? Is Salvatore in pain? Upset? You don't want him to be sad!

...You decide to hold his hand!!! Hopefully it will offer him some comfort. ☺️

Slipping your hand into his causes Salvatore to go completely quiet. He doesn't...look??? Upset???? He might be staring at you a lot, but the two of you are friends, so that's normal! You decide that this is the best way to handle the situation. Quiet is good, right?

Honestly, you're just happy your bestest friend Salvatore is comfortable enough to even hold your hand! 💛💛💛

Meanwhile, Moreau is dead silent in a desperate attempt to prevent himself from blurting out the fact that he would beg on his hands and knees for the simple pleasure of giving the tips of your fingers a gentle kiss.

You laugh and smile and drag him further into relationship purgatory. He doesn't know what to do.

Moreau goes into full research node. He watches romantic movies, reads adventurous novels about love, and does his level best to figure out a way for you to understand how much he loves you.

Meanwhile, all his insecurities are telling him it's pointless to even try. He's a monster, in action and in appearance. Why would someone as wonderful as you love him?

He wants to know what you think of him, but he's terrified of the answer. The fact that you can't tell how serious he is when he yells you he loves you is nerve-wracking, but also comforting in a weird way. At least you're not rejecting him... right?

Moreau won't ever give up on trying to tell you how he feels, but it is going to take a while.

The catalyst for him to really put aside all of his worries is if you mention that you are unlovable. If you ever tell him that you will never be in a healthy or happy relationship because something about you is broken? Salvatore gets so angry he starts confessing to you until you get it.

If he tells you "I love you" and you respond "You're my best friend too", he will not stop until you understand his emotions are romantic.

He isn't ashamed of his own feelings anymore--Moreau can't let you believe that you are anything less than perfect. If he has to confess to get you to understand, so be it. Even if you don't choose him, so be it.
