It's #NationalFitnessDay; a day designed to encourage people to be more active, try new things, push their boundaries and do a little more activity. So it feels only right to share a picture of me pushing my own limits trying to get my flexibility back to where it used to be as a child. I did gymnastics and dance for years before I had my daughter and due to my back injury I have always steered clear of doing postures like this for fear of pain or lack of mobility. I did a bridge whilst in Turkey in July for the first time in over 19 years and I was so proud of myself so when @decathlonuk asked me to think of exercises that could do for the #leggingsforeverybody campaign I decided to try it again and this time raise to my toes. In the past I used to be able to go from standing to bridge and I used to walkovers with ease. I'm definitely not there yet but that's one of my goals for 2020. I will work hard increase my mobility, strengthen my core and I will get back to that level of flexibility despite pain and restriction, I can and I will. #DecathlonUK #bodyconfidence #decathlon #plussizefitness #yogaforall #postures #thewheel #bridge #fitnessforall #haes #fitness #girlgains #thisgirlcan #YesICan #theyesicaninitiative #YIC #core #balance #yogi https://www.instagram.com/p/B21K4nFpSlu/?igshid=1g2u9wckxmgoc
