Just my opinion but:

Cassie: Demeter—mainly for her nurturing nature. Though if Hestia could have kids, I'd say her. I'd also say potentially Athena (this way her and Sloane can still be roomies too).

Lia: Hecate or Dionysus. Carrying the dark, party girl vibes to the end. I feel like she'd have a lot of fun with magic, too.

Dean: Hades. He gives off major Big Three vibes and it feels like he'd constantly be running from his legacy.

Celine (Sloane): Hephaestus, because of her crafty ways. She could also easily join the Hunters of Artemis later on.

Sloane (Lia): Athena because of her brain. That's the only explanation needed.

ugh this is such a hard question... i can't pick, i love all of them 🥺🥺

ok but if i fr had to pick it would have to be one of the girls... probably lia because she seems like the most complex character and most relatable to me. she's so loyal to her friends and seems mean at first as a defense mechanism but cares so much about them which i love. i also relate a lot to her struggles with being vulnerable to others. cassie is so amazing and empathetic but i feel like i don't really see myself in her as much. same with sloane bc i love her and she's so sweet but she's just kind of my opposite. we don't get as much from celine unfortunately but from what i see she's rlly cool

in terms of the boys, michael i totally understand his trauma and humor as a coping mechanism, but i don't love the way he treats lia or even cassie (when they were in the situationship/love triangle). dean is also a very well developed character and i admire him for how he copes with his trauma and his father, especially as the series goes on and he learns to express his emotions, but i don't rlly relate to him.

the good thing abt the naturals tho is that all of the characters are so well written and realistic that even if you don't relate to them they're very complex and have so much to admire as well as some personality flaws. they all represent different aspects of trauma and different coping mechanisms for it, and at the end of the day they're just kids so i can't dislike any of them.

Rant and a very long one about the naturals and every flaw I find with the books

Just stuff i dislike:

The line in what book 1 about no lingerie in the kitchen pmo because you know it's not made for everyone. It's made for one girl that's just annoying and probably rooted slightly in misogyny

Anyone in the fandom that says sloane was constantly left out it happend like once

They all had flaws and big ones may I add the core 5 has never been innocent (I'll explain there flaws later)

The fucking program is disgusting in hindsight it exploited teen who had severe trauma i mean briggs looked at a 12 year old dean and said im gonna make him do the fbi's job that is disturbing no matter how much the way everyone went along with it the way they made theses traumatised kids work on cases that could just make there trauma worse without any mandatory therapy either.

I don't have much again dean in general, obviously like every character he has his good moments and his bad.

(I'll put the bad stuff in red and good stuff in green and this is only some examples for each chachter)

Bad

He was genuinely rude to Michael but that was more reactivate in his defence

His whole the program will ruin him and cassie but not the others bc they aren't profilers was annoying it was ruining all of them no reason to invalidate them.

When lia got back from the cult he wouldn't speak to her.

Over protective not just protective but he too much of it

Good

Genuinely looked out for everyone

Loyal

Was pretty anti violence

Foucesd more on the bad bc everyone always acknowledges the good

cassie: i dont know what kinda major this is but i can sorta see her going into social work? idk if this makes sense to anyone but me

dean: i kind of want to say psychology even though it comes very close to criminology psychology just fits Very Well for deano

michael: something like finance and/or accounting #trustfundkid and given his fathers whatever he did with like tax evasion i cant rmb for the life of me this is so embarrassing ANYWAY something with finance/accounting

sloane: something sciency ‼️💯 lowkey anything science related could work here but i could really see her in chemistry

lia: the marketing side of business....... she's gonna be the person selling you the product like it completely and totally changed her life for the better
