Now that’s better

Dragon Ball Super 100:

Kale is super strong. She made Goku go Blue and defeated one of the Pride Troopers in one go. But the fact that she can’t control her power is a major drawback.

I am sorry that you feel this way about 100, it was truly a sad day (and a boring episode) for all of us in the K18 community. 

You see, I wouldn’t go that far with 18, because I feel that the writers just can’t agree on how to write her. In my honest opinion, 100′s line was probably a fluke, a simple writing mistake that contradicts 99 and probably written by someone who doesn’t fully understand how 18 would react to the situation at hand. And I don’t think it was even possible for Krillin to even hear the words she said, seeing how far away he is now from her.

75 is a little bit different than 100, because the intent is obviously different. I do feel that 18 giving Krillin “tough love” to motivate him would be pretty in-character, but the words she used were what put a lot of people off. Krillin doesn’t even react to it as the words are being said to him either, it’s more that it starts to sting after the fact, and it’s not like that conflict doesn’t resolve itself in the end. 18 just worried about retirement negatively changing him. 

17 I can excuse, him and Krillin don’t really have much of a relationship to go off of, unlike 18 and Krillin, so him feeling this way is understandable. 17 always gets a bad wrap with his character progression though. (just look at GT) 

I just tried to fill logic in the gaps of 100, and just set it aside as a forgettable episode all around.
