Potentially a reach. Don't you think it's interesting how in some ways Lotor's top General is reminiscent of his mother figure?
Dayak is the door to Lotor's understanding of Galra culture; Acxa gives the within-team interactions an air of military formality (her use of the 'My Lord' honorific lies parallel to Haggar's servile address of Zarkon). Lotor's understanding of 'Victory or Death' is derived from Dayak; Acxa is the implementation of this doctrine. His relationship with Dayak is both close and distant (he refers to her as 'Dayak', she refers to him as 'Blood Emperor'; yet she has the capacity to (cutely) embarrass him); his relationship with Acxa is both close and distant (she refers to him as 'Prince' and 'Lord'; she appears to be the only one -- barring Allura -- who has the slightest understanding of what it is that brews within his head; he praises her as easily as he admonishes her). It's an inversion of values. Acxa represents his connection with his Galra side.
