Conan versus Tarzan by the man who brought them both to life for Marvel Comics: John Buscema.
I don't know why that huge black blotch is on Tarzan's back; it's in every version of this drawing I could find.
It looks like someone spilled ink on the original drawing and then tried to make a shadow to cover-up their mistake.
The HA auction lists sole credit to John Buscema, so he’d be the someone.

William Wallace Denslow (1856-1915) Father Goose His Book by L. Frank Baum cover art (1900)
Plenty of pencil, working out the spacing of lettering but ultimately shrunk the author credit to add the illustrator credit.

“Please note that this is the duo-shade page that John Byrne finished in wash tones and some additional inks. There are no Curt Swan pencils on this board.”

While he had no connection with the original publication of Four Color #123, that didn't stop C. C. Beck from producing this incredible painting of Bugs Bunny with Porky Pig from the story "Dangerous Venture."
