#day player

I AM IN THIS EPISODE! LOL! Shot in summer 1989 and airing Jan 17, 1990, this episode was shot at the same locations where the events took place. After the shooting, I am the light blue car that passes the victim’s car going up the hill. I am also in the group of onlookers the police are holding back. but my 4 seconds of fame comes at the police roadblock (4:30) because I was the only person in the dayplayers that STUCK MY HEAD OUT MY CAR WINDOW to talk to the State policeman, For the day, I got day players pay, plus a stipend for using my car. It was fun to watch the episode be put together.

Edward Boulden (1879 - date unknown), Edison Stock Company actor. He debuted in Porter’s The Gay Shoe Clerk (1903) and continued his film career until 1924. The photo above is from 1911.

When not staff on a full time show I'm bouncing around on a variety of different productions as a day player. A day player is just someone go gets called in work on a day by day basis. Some shows have a lot of day players others do it very rarely. All depends on the needs of the show. So I work on a few shows that I am luckily enough call me regularly. But because all the shows need different people at different times, it is not uncommon to have multiple people asking for you on the same day. It's nice because it means your in demand. But just means you can say yes to everything. So you rarely get booked for a full 5 day week between numerous jobs. But this week I am working for 3 different shows and have the entire week booked. It is a good week.
