Jacques Aubuchon in the 1960's (1 of 5)
Jacques Aubuchon continued to be a popular guest star in TV westerns of the 60's and there were many. He played a fake preacher using a comet in the sky as a sign of calamity to come in Law of the Plainsman starring Michael Ansara as an Apache Deputy Marshall. (no photo but available online). He appeared in Hotel de Paree starring Earl Holliman as Sheriff/Hotel owner.
The above 3 photos are from an episode of Johnny Ringo in Feb, 1960. Jonny Ringo was about an ex-gunfighter turned sheriff. The second and third photos are of Jacques Aubuchon with Don Durant as Johnny Ringo and with Jacques' henchmen Charles Fredericks and David Tomack.
Also in February he appeared as a blind man on 77 Sunset Strip, a cool young detective show. (no photos)
In March, 1960, he appeared as the corrupt leader of a political party that controlled a city in Bourbon Street Beat about a private investigator and Ivy League lawyer.
He also appeared as the villain in an episode of Troubleshooters, an adventure drama show starring Keenan Wynn and 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist Bob Matthias.
In April, he appeared in Sugarfoot, a western starring Will Hutchins and The Man from Blackhawk, about the adventures of an Insurance Investigator.
In May, 1960, Jacques Aubuchon was in another episode of Have Gun Will Travel, as a banjo playing entertainer running for mayor of the town at the urging of his political minded wife who pitted farmers against miners.
In the fall, he appeared on an episode of The Islanders and starred in The Black Arrow in Shirley Temple's Storybook. In January of 1961, he appears in The Terrible Clockmaker in another episode of Shirley Temple's Storybook. 2 Photos below.
Also in January 1961, he appears in an episode of Maverick, with Roger Moore as a Miner of a Cursed Gold Mine.
And he plays the villain in an episode of Cheyenne, that starred Ty Hardin and Will Hutchins. Clint Walker was not in this one.
In August, he was the whodunnit Movie Two Plus Two, starring David Jannsen and Jeanne Crain.
In December, 1961 he was in yet another episode of Have Gun Will Travel, playing Palladin in a game of poker where Palladin unknowingly wins his kid to take of.
Other credits in 1961 were in episodes of Checkmate with Sebastian Cabot, and another episode of Sugarfoot and the Western Outlaws.
