Why aren't transmasculine people allowed a word for the specific kind of discrimination we face? Why must there always be something wrong with it, and then people always get hung up on the wording rather than the fact that there is a group of trans people who are facing problems, real world problems that people disregard as anything meaningful?
Why must we always be erased and forgotten, never seen as who we are because we are masculine. Why do people think this is okay, to hurt others because of who they are? Why must people parrot the same rhetoric transphobes and TERFS say but to people who share rhe same community?
Why must we be divided on something that is happening, has happened historically and still happens now? Why can't people accept that transmasc people face discrimination that is different than "just transphobia" than "just misogyny" that we experience things that others don't and experience things others do? Is it because we're masculine?
I don't understand why people come on here and hate, come on here and loathe, come on here and say that we do not experience bad things, because we do. It is not the "Oppression Olympics" I am trying to compete in, I just want the pain experienced by people like me to be recognised, for people to understand and sympathise or empathise or just be compassionate to the experiences, the shaming, the bigotry, the discrimination, the outcasting and the other horrible things that happen to us.
I don't understand why all of that gets pushed aside because people transition to become masculine or to become men. Please understand I am not trying to take away from anyone else, but we are trying to be heard, when all we have ever been is forgotten.

Okay, so I wanted to get like, an hour of Smash bros as Mewtwo in before bed on the one night this week I can’t be up until 4am, and he hasn’t been released yet.
So, basically, I have been cockblocked because they didn’t release at midnight a character that’s already technically in the game. Why must you do this to me, Nintendo? Why? You’re hurting both my heart and soul with this. I was counting minutes, and now I must go to sleep...
ALRIGHT i tried to type up some of my feelings on the whole Tamora Pierce Peggy Carter debacle, but other people have said it better, and i couldn't get two sentences in without getting riled up and resorting to Capslock, so instead...
wait, hang on, where's my top hat
...INSTEAD~! watch in amazement!! stare in wonder as i pull not one, not two BUT THREE, yes you heard me THREE POC Character Concepts out of my hat~! (or more, i may get carried away and you never know what in these hats)
1) (you want maids and people in the service industry?? you got it, single episode or recurring role for a non-white young 20-something)
While tracking down Stark Tech, Peggy finds a likely buyer, but he's super hella secretive, and powerful. This guy is dangerous and she has no way to prove that he's been buying and selling super-weapons. Enter the maid. Quiet and inconspicuous, this girl has been building a reputation of being discreet and unnoticed. She has been trusted with delivering her employer's documents, but eventually noticed that a lot of this seemed to be creeping into illegal activity. What her employer doesn't know is that she's been using various clever techniques to open sealed messages and make encoded notes about their contents, before re-sealing them and delivering them. Her info and Peggy's strategy finally lead to the dude's destruction.
Later roles could include encoding and sending secret messages for Peggy or using her references as a maid to be a fly on the wall in ritzy or exclusive places
2) (single ep role for a...i was gonna say slightly older male POC actor, but could be any gender really, slightly younger than Peggy or older, gonna go with he/him pronouns for now)
Our dude is a security guy at a big warehouse where some sketchy things are being kept. He notices Peggy breaking in and follows at a distance, but when he notices she's headed for where a bunch of bad dudes are loading/unloading illegal goods, he disappears. Peggy is outnumbered, and it's looking bad for her, when our guy shows up and helps her kick ass. When she asks him why he helped her he says "I know a fellow soldier when I see one" and gives her a salute. He starts to walk away when she stops him and asks him not to talk about what he saw here tonight. He smiles and shrugs "I didn't see a thing, fell asleep in the security booth, probably all these late night shifts"
3) (subplot, recurring role, young POC lady at the boarding house. THIS SHOW does a really good job of showing how unfair society was for women in this era, let's give the same thoughtful treatment to POC, shall we??)
A new girl shows up at the boarding house. She's very obviously not white and sticks out like a sore thumb. The interview process becomes harsher and more critical, biased against her, but she eventually passes. Although Peggy notices, she's lying about her age. When Peggy confronts the girl about it later, she begs her not to tell. The girl's father is a disabled veteran, who can't find work, so his daughter decided to go into the city on her own, to find a good job and help support her younger siblings. She's nervous of being found out, and of living in a boarding house full of white girls, but she's got spirit and drive and is super motivated to go find a job.
Several later scenes show her in the background sending out letters and filling out applications. Peggy runs into her on the street several times on her way to interviews.
Several later scenes show her making friends, and typing up letters for other girls in the house. She's a CRAZY FAST and SUPER ACCURATE typist and everyone is very impressed. They say she's sure to get a job, and some of the girls hint in spite of her...looks.
Peggy returns home late one night after chasing down Stark Tech to find the new girl still up and crying. She's been chasing interviews for several weeks now, but the only job offers she's got are as a maid or cook. She'll barely be able to afford rent, let alone have anything to send home to her family.
Peggy and Angie pull some strings and get the new girl several more interviews, at places where her typing skills will be more important then her skin color. She eventually ends up as a secretary and personal assistant to someone important.
4) various background characters, let's have some POC in cute retro clothing, spilling out of a dance hall late at night, walking in the park, flirting at a diner or bar, walking home with the kids after work, randomly saying good morning to Peggy on her way to the office, HELL EVEN WORKING IN THE OFFICE WITH PEGGY, or working as operators for the phone company, or working with Angie at the Automat as cooks or waiters. LETS SEE THEM ON THE RADIO AND ON THE NEWS AND ON THE STREETS let me tell you, if you think this is historically inaccurate, SUPERSOLDIERS AND STARK TECH ARE HISTORICALLY INACCURATE, don't try to defend the whiteness of the show, okay?
IT ONLY LEADS TO THE CONTINUED ERASURE OF POC FROM HISTORY
IT UNDERSCORES THE SUPPOSED "FACT" THAT POC CONTRIBUTED NOTHING OF IMPORTANCE TO HISTORY
We Were There. We Had An Impact and IT DOES A HUGE DISSERVICE TO EVERYONE TO TRY AND COVER THAT UP
...aaaaaaaaahaah, yeah, so i almost succeeded in not capslocking...
whelp, that's all folks, that's the show for today, come back next time for more ranting and top hats...hmmm, Dapper Rants. Would be a good title/tag for these things if this becomes a thing
I KEEP FORGETTING ABOUT TUMBLR'S NEW SIDEBAR BLOG BULLSHIT, SO I CLICK ON SOMETHING THINKING IT'LL OPEN IN A NEW TAB BUT NO. SIDEBAR ALL UP IN MY ALREADY LAGGY INTERNET. STUPID.
