i'm someone who usually tends to pick up on romantic implications a tad late than most people, and when i watched s1, i totally recognized that aziracrow's relationship had very strong platonic implications between them (they really really are the bestest of friends for me). and i didn't get to see the romantic side of their relationship before, specifically, watching the first ep of s2.
even more specifically, this scene and this look of aziraphale:
and i quite literally squealed when i watched this!!
there's really nothing else more romantic for me than having to admire and adore this joyful pretty person gushing about something they thoroughly love and is very passionate about to the point that you would very much wish to have those same kinds of feelings from the person be directed toward yourself. i think it's just wonderful. aziraphale really fell in love with crowley here π
