Gloryhammer really is one of the greatest bands of all time. Like. What other band would make a song titled Goblin King Of The Darkstorm Galaxy, which is about a goblin king and evil wizard teaming up to open an evil portal and bring ruin to the lords of the moon? What other band would remaster one of their songs and give it the title of "Transcendant Empyrean Incantation Version", only made more ridiculous by the fact the song is titled The Unicorn Invasion Of Dundee? You find a song titled He Has Returned. OK, surely this one is more normal. No, it's about The Robot Prince Of Auchtertool, who apparently has a crown made of lasers and epic robot wings. One of their songs opens with the lyrics "I wanna fly away on a unicorn to a land of freedom and light, but I know that my destiny is to die in the ultimate fight", with the climax of that song being "I know I'll find my destiny in outer space in 1993". AND they're Scottish. Actually the best.
So I just found out what the Knife of Evil looks like, and I was amazed, because I was like omg that's so cool, it looks so majestic and magical and stuff.
But at the same time I was a little bit disappointed, because I was always imagining it like this for some reason

It's hilarious how "The Unicorn Invasion of Dundee" establishes there's an evil wizard named Zargothrax, he hates everybody, and there's nothing else you need to know about him. Then they keep that attitude for three and a half albums before throwing "Keeper of the Celestial Flame of Abernethy" at us where Zargothrax is a thousand years old and beefing with the Mcfife bloodline because they knocked down his house.
Madness, truly. And the people of Dundee know his name! Like, they knew he was around. He's just been a menace for a thousand years and three dimensions and nobody bothered to ask why.
