Ra's oh, he'll be all blissed out and a happy plan when Roy was ready to rip your throat out for a pack he met ten minutes ago and wasn't a legitimate part of. Now he's a legitimate part of that pack with even more to lose, the pit madness has really taken Ra's mind at this point, hasn't it?
This is all part of my “Ra’s is a red pill alpha podcaster in another life” joke on here haha, he ultimately believes omegas make alphas weak, and it’s better for alphas to avoid them, like the League does…sound familiar? But you’re right, he has no idea that Roy is like that anyways, it’s not just the rut, and he has even MORE loyalty after this, and a very, very good reason to defend this pack (his new mate). I’m not sure if Ra’s planned for that, or even expected them to mate that quickly in their first heat/rut. He certainly underestimated this pack, largely because he’s extrapolated from Bruce and Jason’s training years, not realizing how much they’ve changed and grown even just across the last few months. Neither of them are avoiding omega hood ever again.
I think this might be my favorite chapter so far, there's just so much to cover. Im so giddy ajskajsksj
OKAY SO. Dan. Jesus Christ. He really was eating pussy, kicking ass and taking names huh. He's so attractive to me, and I love just how vicious he can be, that hint of something so resembling to Lex that you can't help but notice just how compatible they really are.
Alfred, on the other hand, never surprises me when he goes into GOAT mode, but damn if that shot wasn't satisfying. He's so calm, so dangerous, it's so much fun to read. Truly a BAMF pair I did not expect.
AND THEN WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL DUO. Bruce and Lex as a team continues to scratch something in my brain, ever since that first fic. It's such a unique pairing, and they love each other so much to the point of them being not siblings, not best friends, but a secret third thing (their relationship transcends labels).
I DID NOT expect Roy going "two more omegas? Sure, lemme get the food." It's so sweet, and so Roy, and it's killing me how badly he obviously needed an older omega to care for him. He couldn't let himself be cared for by Dinah (fuck you, Ollie), but I didn't truly grasp just how badly he needed and wanted it until he's in rut mode and leaning into Bruce's hand like a touch-starved puppy. Its so sweet and so sad at the same time T.T
Sorry for the rant, I just loved this chapter with my entire heart and WILL be re-reading it throughout today, probably.
(Also I reeeeally want to see Lex fumble his way through meeting the in-laws. His usual bitchy-charming-omega mask won't be of any use to him, he needs to make a good impression and its definitely gonna stress him out soooo much :D (but obviously you don't have to write it now or ever))

I can’t wait until I can write a fic where Lex meets Dan’s family and loses all of his charm and bluster all at once because for the first time ever, he wants to be genuine, and the only way he knows how to do that is with Bruce on rare occasions. But I imagine Dan’s sister is a smart omega and they strike up a bond real quick once she realizes how sad Lex is (and how good at banter and embarrassing her brother he is).

He isn’t, at least not officially. You either mate someone in the Pack, or Bruce or Clark make them Pack. The majority of those times, Clark has done it, but Bruce has his fair share (biting Lex, Jason being his pup, etc)
Since they’re mated now, it’s almost official, but I imagine traditional etiquette would still have them presenting the bond to Bruce and Clark and letting one of them make Roy pack then and there. Bruce not freaking out over the mating bites was a good sign.
Part of making someone Pack also means bonding with them, which Clark typically starts because he’s so empathetic and has that easy kind of authority in him. This happened in my elseworld fic with Roy (the veranda alpha fic) and it’s very sweet.

I'm not sure it's your intention when writing, but Lex and Jason give me such older sibling/younger sibling vibes. The way they tease each other and argue, but immediately have each other's back just reminds me so much of my relationship with my little bro.
They’ve got a really strange but strong relationship! I view Lex as more of the crazy / overly involved uncle because he’s fun and flashy and hard to predict, but he also retains this quiet authority and empathy that most people don’t see at first. Jason is his and Bruce’s pup in a certain way; they helped him through his presentation and detox and Lex took the lead when Bruce realized his own history limited what education he could give about living as an omega. Lex is a brother, an uncle, a teacher, a parent, etc all for Jason. And sometimes even for Bruce, whereas Bruce is a comforting and almost paternal presence for him too when needed (I see them closer to brothers than I see Lex and Jason personally but it could go either way!)
I think that’s what I like so much about Lex, he can be so many things to so many people and you’re never quite sure who you’re getting. But Bruce and Dan are cracking the code slowly and patiently, and Jason reaps the benefits of that.
I almost cried while writing the scene where Lex yelled at Jason in the safe house. That’s his baby!!!
Heat/rut being restorative has been explained pretty well, so Ra's letting Jason and Roy go through it blows my mind. You want to make them stronger? Maybe it would make victory taste sweeter idk

What was Pa Kent's designation before he passed? I don't know why but I can see him and Ma being a happy beta/beta couple
They were/are both betas! Happily mated but sets them up well for Clark's arrival since they weren't able to have pups and maybe hadn't considered adoption yet. the Pa / Ma / Alfred combo would've been too much for the Pack haha.
