• Carry It With You: You can carry the spell jar in your bag, pocket, or purse to keep its energy close. This will allow you to tap into its intention whenever you need it.

• Wear It: If you prefer, you can place the jar in a macrame necklace or another wearable item. This makes it a personal talisman, by connecting you to its energy throughout the day.

• Create a Sacred Space: Set the jar in a special place in your home where you can see it regularly. This will help you stay aligned with its intention.

• Set Intentions: Take time to hold the jar and focus on your intention. Visualize what you want to manifest as you connect with its energy.

• Incorporate in Rituals: Use the jar in your rituals or meditative practices. Before starting a new project or during moments of reflection, hold the jar and invite its energy to support you.

Intention: to gather and give waves of creativity

Power Source: the ingredients in the jar, the light from laptop and phone screens

Ingredients:

Himalayan pink salt (or any salt) - to cleanse & direct the energy to it's purpose

Thyme - to reduce stress and anxiety

Cinnamon - for focus and increased energy

Lavander - to reduse insecurities and for calmness of the mind

Rose petals - for love and confidence

Clear quartz - to focus and amplify the energy

Burnt bay leaf with a sigil

(Coffee - to speed up the spell's process)

Creation:

Cleanse the jar, i used frankincense incense, i also let it burn down while we worked

Add the ingredients, each with its purpose in mind, the order doesn't really matter besides the visual appeal, but we would advise to put salt at the bottom and qurtz at the top

Close the jar and cleanse the space around it again

Seal with something blue - for mind and mental activity, i used blue beeswax candle, but a blue string or cloth is a fair game too

If the wax was used, let it dry out before continuing

Hold the jar in your hands and feel your energy entering the jar, additionally you can think or speak this :

"this jar shall use the light of my laptop/phone screen as the source of its power, this jar shall use this power to gather and give creativity to me, to help me achive my goals in art, music or any and all creation, as i say so shall it be"

Additional Notes:

For the sigil we used the phrase "CREATIVITY FLOWS THROUGH ME" . I won't show the sigil itself here.

Witch Growth Challenge Day 16: Writing Candle Spell

Pardon the big photo, I kinda had to crop it to not show the mess of my living room table!

I had scheduled for today to sit down and brainstorm about my novel(?). I had stopped writing months ago bc life and now I wasn't sure anymore about what I wanted to keep of this story and what I wanted to change.

Hence getting coaching about it, hence taking time this morning to brainstorm, decide and I actually ended up wirting a lil chapter too!

To help myself, both because making it witch makes me want to do it more and because I could use the help of a candle spell! Also, having something witch around makes me feel way more comfortable and familiar.

I created this candle spell specifically for my re-beginning to write, but I think it would be perfect for any type of creative work!

What I used:

a purple candle (I used a birthday one, but any works!) for inspiration, growth and self esteem

honey for sweetness, productivity and passion; note: honey is literally the meaning of my witch name, so it's a very meaningful element for me

coffee to remove blockages and an energy boost

black salt for protection (of course salt salt is also fine!)

ginger for creativity and energy

oregano for love and energy

a lighter

a mug full of salt (or anything else to make the candle stand!)

What I did:

I used the honey instead of oil to oint the candle (i put some on a plate and rolled the candle in it!), then i put on the candle also black salt, coffee, oregano and ginger.

I put the candle in a little mug full of salt to let it stand and lit it, letting it burn all the way.

Sorry, couldn’t help myself :) Here’s a potion I whip up for myself when I need that extra boost in my creative endeavors- or when I have writer’s block.

Tools:

White tea (for creativity + knowledge- I use white chai in the mornings for the caffeine kick)

Sugar to taste (to sweeten your creative process- use cinnamon sugar for an added boost of success + to make this potion work faster)

A stirring stick

A mug

A kettle (or a microwave, I don’t judge)

Get creative with your tea! Put extra intention into it by picking a white tea that has other fruits or herbs that correspond with your specific purpose. Use a flavored honey. Make this potion yours.

Steep the tea in near-boiling (not boiling for white tea) water to your liking (I do about 7 minutes to really get the flavor in). Take those tea bags out to prevent bitterness.

Sweeten with sugar (or any other sweetener) to taste! Don’t stir yet.

Focus on your mug. Really stare at the circle of tea. Now stir- clockwise! to attract and manifest- and repeat the following:

“I complete this session*,

answers flow to me.

I am filled with creativity.

No self doubt,

I know my worth,

I confidently do my work.”

Repeat until everything is incorporated and intuitively you know you are done.

*I use this spell before my writing sessions, but you can change “session” to whatever word best reflects the creativity you’re targeting.

I was on Tumblr a couple days ago and found a post (linked) from Breelandwalker about a recipe for Inspiration Salt. I was ecstatic because this was very timely, and it looked like I had most of the ingredients! It was perfect!

Until I started reading the instructions and I realized that there was no way that I would be able to get by with grinding up herbs while in the broom closet. My family has only just gotten accustomed to essential oils, and I don't think they're quite ready for me to break out the mortar & pestle just yet. (I say facetiously and with no small measure of sadness at my lack of proper herb grinding equipment.) So, I did my best to adapt it to my needs. And now, I’m recording what I did so that I don't forget it! (And in case anyone else can use it later.)

My version is less of a salt/powder and more of a jar spell. … Actually, technically, it's more like an empty pocket-sized sanitizer bottle spell in my case. … I was out of the tiny Dollar Tree craft jars that I usually use, so I had to make do with what I had, OK? Plus, this is something easily overlooked among my clutter, so nobody will ever be the wiser!

Anyway…

Ingredients:

A few drops of witch hazel solution

Dried mugwort leaf (or if you have one of the other ingredients in the original recipe, use that instead! I literally just happen to have a mugwort plant that I got from my aunt.)

Pinch of salt

Whatever container you have on hand

Marker

Procedure:

1. (Optional) Since witch hazel was the main ingredient in my spell, I got out my Ogham card for Mór, which represents witch hazel in my wildcrafted Ogham (for more information on that and how to create your own Ogham associations with local plants, see Archdruid Dana O’Driscoll’s blog). I placed the Ogham card down on my workspace and set the ingredients around it. I asked the spirit of Mór to watch over the working. If you would like to call on a symbol of a plant ingredient, or a symbol of creativity, go for it! Otherwise, leave this step out.

2. (Optional) As a pop culture witch, I also wore my Amulet of Julianos to call upon his help. You can choose to call on an entity associated with knowledge or inspiration, or you can skip it.

3. Ask the spirit of Witch Hazel to bring creativity and inspiration, add the droplets to the container, and thank the spirit of the plant for its blessing.

4. Ask the spirit of Mugwort (or Jasmine, or Allspice, or whichever other plant you picked) to bring creativity, motivation, and focus. Add the leaf to the container and thank the spirit of the plant for its blessing.

5. Ask the spirit of Salt to bring grounding and purity through the creative process, add the salt to the container, and thank the spirit of the salt for its blessing.

6. Charge the spell however you prefer. As a Druid, I called upon the telluric, solar, and lunar currents to bless the container with their energy - and to allow me to send creativity to myself and to whomever I choose. As a Christian, I added a prayer of thanks to God as well.

7. Close the container and “seal” the spell by drawing a symbol of creativity on the container somewhere. For me, it was easy to conceal behind the peel-back label. I drew the Ogham letter Mór as well as the Awen symbol. You can choose anything that represents creativity and inspiration in your practice!

8. Close the working and return unused energy to the Earth, or give it to one or more of the spirits as an offering of thanks. And you’re done!

Yes, my friends, we'll be doing a sachet today! If you prefer a spell jar, feel free to use that. Just make sure it is something you can keep with you when you are needing the motivation!

What you'll need:

• Sachet bag (orange, yellow, or red)

• Carnelian (or a stone you associate with motivation)

• Herbs for motivation (pick two): cinnamon, lemon balm, fenugreek, rosemary, gingko biloba, basil, oregano

• An herb for procrastination (pick one): brahmi, peppermint, rhodiola

• An herb for creativity (pick one): nutmeg, rose petals, alder, coffee, dried apples

• An herb for energy/extra spoon (pick one): ashwagandha, ginseng, ginger

• An herb for Mars or Sun energy: calendula, st johns wort, tumeric root, peppercorn, cayenne (only use this one if you are trying to light a fire under your ass!)

• Hand-drawn sigil on a bay leaf (make your own for extra potency)

• Petition with intentions written on it, folded towards you into a small packet

• A match or entire matchbox (or something that can represent the fire element)

1) Put your sachet together, taking time to set intentions for each ingredient. The herbs are suggestions, so utilize what you have and what feels right. My suggestions were taken from my herbal grimoire of detailed information of many years, but that doesn't mean anything if it doesn't resonate with you. Make sure to activate your sigil. After it is filled, as you are closing it shut, say:

"Charm of motivation,

Release my cravings for procrastination.

Increase my creativity so I may feel inspired again.

Bring me more energy so that I can get to the end of the day being more productive.

Spirit of ____ (whichever spirit or deity you'd want to work with for this), I ask thee to bless this charm bag.

May it radiate luck and good fortune throughout.

So mote it be."

2) Charge the sachet under the next new or waxing moon, but it can be used sooner if needed.

3) Bring with you whenever you feel you need that motivational boost. Especially if you are going to work, doing a creative project, etc. You may wish to add specific petitions for goals you'd like to meet. You can take them out when you achieve them. Make sure to feed your sachet bag weekly.

Yep, the spell was really that short and simple. I wouldn't necessarily be putting this by your pillow, as it may cause you to not sleep well. Keep this in a room such as your office or kitchen or wherever you study/do hobbies/place your work things to keep this energy focused around there.
