I choose to believe in the Bible because it is a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitness. I donāt like that the only term to describe a Christian who accepts contemporary evolutionary theory isĀ ātheistic evolutionist.ā I donāt believe *in* evolution like I believe *in* the creeds. I *believe* evolution since it seems correct based on sensory observation and reason (isnāt the scientific discipline an extension of sensory observation and reason?), but it isnāt the axiomatic belief on which all else rests.
