I woke up to the ignorance of my reality. Oblivious to my privileges. Privilege of education. Privilege of being able-bodied. Privilege of being white. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been living out my reality blindly. Insensitive to ever stopping to realize or give a second thought to the validity of others experiences. Realizing that how I see my reality is not an all-encompassing reality for all. We see the world through different lenses.
I’ve accepted what I don’t know — my ignorance. Waking up to a new perspective to learn. To grow. To listen. To extend compassion. Expand perspective. And to do whats right.
Knowledge is an antidote to ignorance.
