Allons-y !
Michel Pagliaro - L'espion
Hein quelle surprise, n'est-ce pas ? Wanna know something funny ? I learned the title of that song this year after hearing it pretty much since birth on the radio lol
L'espion was on the Sous Peine D'Amour album, released in 1988 (i was released in 1988 too ehehehe)
LUNA SEA - ROSIER
ngl, this will always bring me back to the little karaoke era my friends and I had, years ago. It really is a good karaoke anthem ahah, it also happen to be one of Luna Sea's most iconis songs and one of my favourite :3
ROSIER was a single released in 1994.
Closterkeller - Dlaczego Noszę Broń
Another surprise : here's some polish :D It's kinda funny cause i had downloaded i thought most if not all of their discography like last year, and last month i learned that they had a fresh new album and it made me realize they were still active ! I discovered them as a baby goth, a little before i got into visual kei, and they have a special place in my heart even if I dont listen to them as often as other bands :3 I fucking love Anja's voice !!
Dlaczego Noszę Broń was the opening track on Scarlet, released in 1995
The Eccentric Opera - Irrésistiblement (Sylvie Vartan cover)
Once upon a time, it was the mid-to-late-2000s and i came accross this song and The Eccetric Opera became a huge, huge fave of mine !!!
Irrésistiblement was on the album Hymne from 1997
Eliphas Levi - マロリー夫人の秘やかな欲望 (MALLORY fujin no hiyakana yokubou)
Remember when i posted Rebirth during my 20 years anniversary thing, i said it wasnt my favourite from Eliphas Levi ? Well this one is !!!
Mallory fujin no hiyakana yokubou was on the リデルの赤い書物 (LIDDEL no akai shomotsu) album, released in 1998
After Forever - Monolith of Doubt
I wanna say that was the first After Forever song i heard while also knowing it was them. I had previously heard Inimecal Chimera, in a silly matrix dub my friend made, but didn't know it was them ! It was also an instant hit, i listened to this so. fucking. much when i was a teen !!
Monolith of Doubt was on Decipher, released in 2001
SHILFEE AND TULIPCOROBOCKLES - Dead Leaves
Like. I'm not Furukawa Tomo's biggest fan, but i do appreciate his weirdness, right ? But i'm definitely this song's #1 fan !!! I was already generally aware of guniw tools when i found this album, back then, and it was smack in the middle of me getting into like Klaus Nomi and Selia and Vitas, I ended up listening to this in loop for days aaaaaaaa
Dead Leaves is on the Chichiro album (you can buy that here btw :3), released in 2005
大鴉 (Taia) - さくら (sakura)
Taia really is an underrated band imo !!! Or maybe i'm biased because i've always seen them similarly to Evanescence (the blue of the jacket probably doesnt help lmao). This being said, it was difficult to choose a song, cause they have a lot of good stuff, though I think this one sums up their sound pretty well :3
Sakura was on the album Asymmetry, from 2005
Deflina Ma'riage - 埋葬蟲 (shidemushi)
This also is one of my favourite visual kei song of all time !! Get ready for some kettle-like screaming near the end :D ^_^
Shidemushi was on the maxi-single 13 THIRTEEN GAME, released in 2006
lynch. - Ambivalent Ideal
if you'd asked me in 2008 who was my favourite band, i would definitely have hesitated between dir en grey and lynch.. I tend to like when they're not as loud as they could be, if i can put it like that. Also I think i still have a crush on Hazuki 😩. But yeah, that single released and that also was an instant favourite !
Ambivalent Ideal was a single released in 2008
Trigger warning : flashing ↓
i hope this was fun for yall too :D
