Headcanon: The field medics are the fastest troopers in the GAR. They have to book it during a battle in order to be of any help to fallen troopers, and even then they’re constantly aware of other troopers that also need their help, with even more getting struck down by the second. A fast medic could mean the difference between life or death for a battalion.
That’s all with several pounds of armor and gear constantly strapped on. Put field medics like Kix on a running track, wearing civilian attire instead of gear, and they’ll beat everyone, hands down.

I can only imagine how stressed out the 212th and 501st medics were when BOTH their Jedi decided to just ditch what little armor they had been wearing. They were probably already freaking out over Ahsoka wearing NO armor the entire time, but then their maniac generals decide to ditch all their armor too. Those poor medics.
I feel like the Kaminoans designated specific batches for specialized jobs or positions (medics, pilots, communications, scouts, etc.). I also think they did keep track of who did well in which courses and would pull them into specialized tracks based on those scores. IMO Kix is one of those medics. And those medics, since they have a nonmedic batch they came from, unless the rest of their batch ALL end up in specializations, tend to get trained as field medics specifically.
There are also two different tracks the Kaminoans stick them in. One's obviously field medics. They do all the basic medical training and as much of the infantry training as they can. Tons of sims on how to actively help someone under fire are done to get them used to it (thus the reason this is where they stick a lot of the nonbatch-designated medics). Bonus of those infantrymen learning how to cover for a medic properly. And then when they move to off-planet exercises (especially pre-war), that's when a lot of field medics would get the most experience pre-battle field if anyone got hurt.
And then there's the non-field medics. They are destined to either end up permanently stationed at one of the medical stations around the galaxy, Kamino itself, the CorGuard, or as specialist within Venator medbays. This is probably where most CMOs are initially trained. Since the CMO is running the medbay the entire time and would be taking care of anyone sent back mid-campaign, I doubt they'd be field medics. (At least initially.... as the war goes on and people die, Jedi and their Commanders probably promote from within more often than not.)
So these people do a lot less of the physical training as everyone else (but they still succeed the basics of a civilian doctor for combat since, ya know, Kamino and clones). They also are more likely to be specialized within what they're doing past emergency care a la the field medics. As in the cardiologists and neurologists and such. The more specialized they are, the more likely they are to end up at one of the med stations.
All of them (field medics and non-field medics alike) get emergency care + surgery training as the basis. Some of the field medics that excel the most have at least some additional specialized training outside the basis since the Kaminoans think they can handle it. (Rip their sparse free time with their batch though)
Designated batches start with the simple stuff as soon as the Kaminoans believe humans can handle basic medical training.... which would be really early on, even if it's flash training anatomy or whatever they pick. Those who get pulled into it are identified as quickly as they can, but they keep pulling them in until they're about 5 or so would be my guess. With 10 being the age they send troopers out, they wouldn't want any sort of specialization to be less than half of a clone's life
With the amount of training that is, as it's around-the-clock, gets many of the designated batch medics as close to fulfilling the galaxy's requirements for having a medical license outside the army as they can. Plus the fact that there's flash training and all that -- these medics have the same skillset and abilities and knowledge by the time they hit their early biological and mental twenties. So many people practicing medicine outside the GAR were blown away when they first looked into their training when the war broke out. What do you mean this 10 year old who's equivalently 20 comparatively has a residency done. And that the majority of the army medics are like that. That's crazy. Though the point of a residency is to get irl experience so that would be slightly different because of the nature of Kamino but there's still some there (Kamino definitely does not avoid training accidents... they might consider it worth it to save some of the cadets if it helps the medics learn more.)
One thing that's interesting is that in DB's deleted scene, there's only droids in the medbay. The very beginning of Clone Cadets shows droids and Kaminoans. No clones in the bays that are helping the treating. The war has already started. Whatever clone medics are on Kamino must be assigned to Havoc Battalion at this point, or off doing hyper-specialized stuff and not in the main medbay. Or maybe Droidbait got sent to a low-priority medbay because he only tweaked his arm lol and they got the cadets who are in training at different, higher priority ones.
I would also think that one of the tests field medics have to pass is teaching their batch (or a random squad, if they do happen to be a field medic from a designed medic batch) basic first aid. It would help show they understand what they're learning enough + bonus of the infantrymen learning basics on how to help if a medic can't get there quite yet. It'd be pretty early on in their training.... little tiny cadets teaching each other how to make a splint or put pressure on wounds. Man.
Anyway. That's about all the thoughts I currently have. I am in no way, shape, or form in the medical field or planning on it, so apologies if any of this isn't a realistic adaptation of how this would pan out. I'm just curious about how Kamino runs things a lot lol
I think the clone medics should worry the fuck outta the Jedi healers. Not as a competency thing or a suspicious thing I just think that given the fact that they were taught by the Kaminoans like 50% of conversations between the Healers and the Medics involves either things like "wait wait wait you mean we're allowed to have PRIVACY in medical matters????" or things like "what do you mean I shouldn't hunt my commanders down with a tranquilizer when they aren't sleeping?"
I just think their childhood has got to give them a skewed perspective on reasonable medical behavior/expectations and the healers are alternatively sad/pissed at what the Kaminoans have taught them to expect and concerned about what they think is proper medical behavior.
It started as me wondering whether clone medics are visisously protective of other clones' medical privacy because Kamino didn't give them any or whether they just, don't have a concept of medical privacy because Kamino didn't give them any.

Summary:

Conference (M&M) and told through flashbacks, both vode must save Kenobi from future harm, and endure the ever increasing dread as the conference plays out.
