Sam who fights and spits and kicks and screams the first time. and he's an incredible fighter but Brady seems almost supernaturally strong and no one hears him and Dean is across the country and Sam can't get away. maybe he drank too much, maybe Brady gave him something. the next morning, they act like nothing happened

he starts out kicking and screaming with the next man too (prolly one of the Benders). he thinks after that he could've gotten away, he has the skill, but his body just... stalled. his voice stops working and his hands stop clawing. even his vision and hearing aren't quite right

then it's women mostly and he can cope with it ok when Lilith kisses him on the mouth. he says "no" and "don't" and "I can't" but he copes ok when Ruby puts him inside her

‘Circlusion’ is a word coined recently by Bini Adamczak to mean the opposite of penetration - being around and against a thing, enclosing it, encircling it, moving over it. Doesn’t have to be about sex but I think it is very useful for (re)conceptualising sex and I’m just thinking about how it causes me to think/ feel differently.  The article linked above was published July 2016, and I tried to trace its usage using Google, Tumblr, Instagram. I was surprised it hasn’t had much take-up but unsurprised to see it gaining traction with dancers/ choreographers.

DANCE/ PERFORMANCE adoption:  Danish dance festival used it as concept (June 2017)

‘Centering around ‘circluding’ dance, thecarrierbag festival is a gathering of local and international dance artists, hosted by DANSEatelier. The festival includes three days of hangout, curated inserts, triggers and hooks, as well as three evenings of performances. This festival is a carrier bag. A bag to carry knowledge (across bodies, texts, temporalities, telepathies and more) in order to re-activate, re-use and re-develop new knowledges. The festival as a bag proposes a way to ‘circlude’, encircle, gather, wrap and curl around dance. It is a wish to use ‘circlusion’, this awesome and newly invented word, to describe a relation to dance. Borrowing ‘circlusion’ from the context of a sexual act, where it refers to the antonym to penetration, it finds ways of relocating the term, in order to strengthen it. Thecarrierbag festival has been thought around two texts: Ursula Le Guin’s ‘The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction’ and Bini Adamczak’s ‘ On Circlusion’. It sets off from feminist ways of being in relation to dance and unfurls a plethora of possibilities.’

The idea of circlusion, proposed in 2016 by communist writer Bini Adamczak to describe the counterside of penetration, informed the genesis of this exhibition. Through that concept, Adamczak shed light on the agency of the penetrated orifice ( the anus circluding the fist, the vagina that circludes the dildo). When artist Maja Malou Lyse crossed paths with Adamczak’s term, she recognized its capacity to disrupt the division into active and passive bodies. This exhibition presents Lyse’s new video work, where she draws from that idea in order to establish a dialogue between the sex-negative feminism of the 80s and the horny visual language of contemporary pop culture; the latest chapter of Fabiana Faleiros’ sculptural research about pleasure and self-knowledge, playfully tracing the colonial violence that brings apart two bodily apertures: the vocal cavity and the asshole; and Matilda Tjäder’s sound landscape, a fictional tale of haunting encounters, ghostly portals and intertwined bodies.
