monstrosity (darling)

the point is dean trying desperately to hold onto a boy that doesn’t want to be held anymore. and the point is you ache for dean but you understand sam because dean is missing things he promised he’d be at and getting onto sam for talking back to their dad.

the point is dean losing himself and sam hating himself. the point is late night diners and throwing popcorn at each other on a motel couch and trying to make $30 stretch until dad gets back and dean taking it personally when sam gets hurt and sam fighting john for dean since dean won’t fight for himself.

the point is moments where they’re bitching at each other while dean is cutting sam’s hair and they can’t see each other’s faces but we can see theirs and dean’s eyes are so soft and fond and sam is smiling so wide that it looks painful.

the point is the devolution of the family winchester into the men winchester.

Coyote found a squeaky toy I accidentally left outside. Turns out coyote love squeaky toys too.
