There was "which brother is the girl" discourse on my feeds and no one talked about Adam.

So JohnAdam - John looking at Adam and deciding his delicate features like a girl eliminated him from the bait bucket (versus Dean who's a smokeshow). Adam is ... translucent. Looks like his mother, is a good son, a doctor. Takes whatever scraps John gives with an enthusiasm that makes him sick.

When they go to get Adam, Dean feels some type of way about that, making a similar assessment of Adam, his soft features, hair, clear and bright moon-like eyes and future. His slender fingers that look like they've held pens and paper than a shovel and gutted monsters before burning the evidence.

Need Dean to have all these thoughts running in his mind as he watches Sam, pretty in a different way, try to "man up" and be a big brother to Adam.

And Sam is just grateful that he got to a brother before anything bad could touch him, a chance to be there and guide him, pay forward a fraction of what John spent a lifetime teaching.

It's been about 6 months since the last time I asked this, so it's time again. What have you been working on? Do you have things to self promote? Or WIPs that you want to build up hype for? I want to know what everyone has been up to and what I've missed.

Also not to be a broken record, but bonus points if you have WIPs for @disabilitynatural.

when I got this ask, I didn't have a good answer because I was up to my elbows in au roulette for spartacus, but I've now officially switched gears to disabilitynatural and @spn-summer-rapecation! I also opened commissions today and am already looking forward to a couple awesome projects! and that doesn't include my ongoing shit....

I'm actually hoping to have my first disabilitynatural fill up this weekend and, yes! it is the first part of the HIV positive Dean fic. it will be multi-part, but I've decided to approach it as a series of standalones so they can just be posted as they're finished instead of trying to wrangle a huge fic (which is.... not my strong suit)

I have a couple fics that I'd love to finish as part of disabilitynatural (cross your fingers for me!), including Dean having profound hearing loss after hearing Cas' true voice in Lazarus rising, Sam with progressive aphasia related to a traumatic brain injury, and Dean stepping in that damn bear trap. I'll write all of them, but it remains to be seen if I'll write them all in July...

my first fill for rapecation was accidentally also my first-ever webweave? but I have plenty of fic percolating, including a crossover fill wherein Sam has permanent injuries, which may include an ostomy bag, following a rape (possibly set in the aftermath of 5.03 free to be you and me... tbd on that)

I think Dean's sexual promiscuity and perversion ramps the fuck up so hard in the lead-up to hell and is even worse when he gets back and starts binging sex and alcohol like they're going out of style

i think generally multishippers are more woke but its also probably that yall understand and appreciate more complex and fucked up dynamics that are interesting and not just what if they kissed and were in love

I personally am really drawn to complex, ugly, fucked up dynamics. I tend to ship the characters who have the most power to hurt each other and sometimes also the best ability to save each other. whether or not they do save each other is another thing entirely

You know what's at the top of my mind today? Sadomasochism. So I'm going to ask about that here. Let me know your thoughts about sadomasochism in wincest.

And please note, the question is not "in wincest, who do you think is the sadist and who is the masochist?" because that's not the only way these things go. You're also welcome to think that neither of them are into it at all. That's a valid answer that isn't a cop-out or a non-answer, but a legitimate interpretation of the characters. Maybe only one is one of those things. Maybe you think they're both sadists or both masochists. Maybe one or both are switches. Or, of course, you can think that they're a traditional sadist/masochist pair. My point is, I don't want you to think this is a binary question or you have to give traditional/binary answers. Creativity is encouraged.

I think Dean is a natural sadist (not a hell-made one). it's sexual in some ways for him, but not in all ways. like. he will hurt someone for powerful, purposeful, righteous vindication and imao he's chronically understimulated so he craves the intensity of inflicting pain

Dean does participate in acts that could absolutely be classified as masochistic or at least self-flagellation, but I think it has to do with having almost no sense of self but a deep and abiding belief that whatever he is is wrong. and also with understimulation (thank you i80 for the headbanger Dean headcanon)

I made a post a million years ago about how I perceive Dean's sadism, but the gist is: hell didn't make him a sadist, it just made him feel ashamed of it

Sam howeverrrrr I think is a very fluid sadomasochist. I think he likes pain, sexual and otherwise. maybe "likes" in quotes because I think it's more like he understands it, he craves it, he perceives it as part of himself
