Imagine a THE WILL⢠fic (aka Eddie's missing/in a coma and Buck needs to take care of Chris) where Helena is ready to pull anything to get custody of Chris (like hiring a private investigator to dig out every of Buck's skeletons, questioning Eddie's choices and mental health, as well as everyone of the 118fam and the 'danger' they could represent for Chris)
so buck is like, oh you want to play dirty, good thing I know a lawyer who'll have no remorse destroying you.
And he hires Chase Mackey to destroy Helena and Ramon.

Something that bugs me the most about the lawsuit arc is that Bobby faced no ramifications from the department for misrepresenting them.
He was suspended at the end of s2 for lying to the department and not disclosing his background over everything in Minnesota.
Then he lies to Buck saying it was the department holding him back. Bobby holds direct blame for opening the department up to the lawsuit.
And the fact he was able to actively retaliate against Buck when he was reinstated? He should have lost his position as captain, if not his job in the fire department for that.
I so wish they'd run the story using the line that firefighting is a union job. The union would have been on Buck's side and fought for Bobby to face the consequences of his actions.
But disney owned property would never show unions in a good light.
you're right and honestly you should say it more.
it's really annoying actually because there seems to be this general fandom consensus that Buck was in the wrong and everyone else was in the right. When that's simply not the case.
Say what you want about Chase Mackey, the guy was a phenomenal lawyer, and he did his job. Sure, he might not have had Buck's wishes at heart, but he did his job and he did it well. Even if Buck didn't tell him about the coworker stuff, he would've found it. Everyone was mad that Buck told Chase about everything, but Chimney was literally stabbed in the brain and was allowed back in weeks. Eddie was spiraling, literally spiraling and Bobby was like "Oh he's fine!" That man was not fine. He wasn't anywhere close to fine either. He was grieving and angry, and he joined an illegal fighting ring.
Everyone also likes to say Buck abandoned Chirs. Chris is seven or eight years old, he doesn't have a phone, and Buck isn't allowed to talk to his dad. What exactly do you guys expect Buck to do in that situation? Chris is a minor, Buck isn't allowed to talk to the person in charge of Chris, and Eddie is so pissed that Buck would've probably been better off not trying. He even offers to talk to him in the grocery store and Eddie proceeds to be so fucking mean and condescending towards Buck, meanwhile, Eddie had just spent the night in jail for assault (the dude deserved it for being ableist but still). Buck fought through a tsunami on blood thinners and was injured for that kid. He would not have abandoned Chris.
I'm a 118 apologist. The 118 can do no wrong in my eyes. I close them whenever they're doing some fuck shit, but this I can't excuse. It's trash, and then the fact that they ostracized him later at work?? Hen and Chimney know what that's like better than anyone and they proceeded to do it to him. He didn't even sue Eddie, Chim, or Hen, and they acted like he did.
I don't know, I find the whole thing messy and gross, and I just don't agree with the idea that Buck was in the wrong. The only thing he was wrong about was not going through the union but like you said, this is Disney and Disney hates unions.
Summary: Sal has a fuck buddy. Eddieâs fucking him almost every night. His fuck buddy thinks theyâre dating. His fuck buddy isnât Eddie. Eddie thinks that if anyoneâs dating itâs him and Sal.
The only person who gets hurt is Salâs fuck buddy but who the fuck cares he hurt Sal once and now Eddieâs gonna show him who the boss is.
They have a long established routine of sorts thatâs served them well. Sal beats on the door hard enough to wake the dead, Eddie answers, they share a couple kisses, drink a beer, fuck, and depending on how Sal feels they might cuddle for a little bit before he does the walk of shame out the front door.
Their late night trysts typically happen between midnight and 2am and any other time Eddieâd be more than willing to let Sal Deluca walk out the door but not tonight.
Not tonight when Sal showed up with a split lip and the start of a pretty impressive shiner. Itâd all started when Sal just let himself in with the key Eddie hides under the mushroom statue on the front porch rather than his usual earth shattering knocks. Itâd only gotten weirder from there at least by their standards.
âHold me please,â Sal softly tells more than asks as he throws himself into Eddieâs arms as he tries to sit up in bed.
âSal,â Eddie asks readjusting them to pull Sal more fully onto the bed and into his arms. âHey, hey Sal whatâs wrong honey?â
âCanât a guy just need a hug,â Sal snarks trying to push himself back out. He whines more to himself than to the other man or at least he thinks he does when Eddie just retightens his grip and softly laughs.
âYeah a guy can need a hug but most of the time you hate the idea of being touched any more than necessary. So pardon the fuck out of me for asking.â
âIâm sorry Eds,â he begins before he lets out a soft Fuck. His head is pounding and heâs pretty sure that itâs blood he feels dripping down his chin.
âWhatdoyamean, fuck,â Eddie demands trying to guide Salâs face up to make eye contact with him. He hates the sight that greets him and if it wasnât for Sal looking sad at him like a drowned puppy heâd be pulling on clothes and calling their best friends to help him go kill Chase Mackey.
âItâs just this entire day has been a clusterfuck and then Chase was pissed off that I was late.â
âSo he hit you? What the fuck Sal? Youâre gonna sit right here and look pretty and Iâm gonna go grab the first aid kit and weâll get you cleaned up.â
âStay please?â
âBaby Iâll be back before you can say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,â Eddie says smirking at Sal. âWe get you cleaned up and then Iâll hold you for as long as you need, okay?â
âYou know I canât say that asshole,â Sal answers glaring at Eddieâs back as he heads out the door.
****
He knew the minute that Sal walked into his bedroom that he was gonna be calling their best friends at some point. He just wasnât expecting for it to be so he could ask a huge favor and make them accessories to murder.
Buck answers on the second ring and Eddie hard launches into what little he knows about Salâs situation.
âBuck put me on speaker. What Iâm about to say is gonna interest Tommy too.â
âDone,â Buck says almost simultaneously with Tommy asking, âwhat?â
âMackey hit Sal. Heâs got a split lip and a shiner. The fucker hit him so Iâm gonna ask for a huge favor.â
âYou wanna kill Chase and need a chopper so you can drop his body in the Pacific,â Tommy guesses and Eddie can hear shuffling around like theyâre getting dressed.
âYes and I need your help, Kinard.â
âWeâre game. Salâs family and nobody fucks with our family and gets away with it,â Buck agrees voice steely.
****
Salâs still sitting there with his arms crossed over this chest glaring when Eddie comes back. Eddie canât help but laugh at the absolutely adorably disgruntled look on Salâs face.
âWhatâs got you so grumpy,â Eddie asks walking across the room to place the tackle box on the dresser to dig through it.
âYou making fun of me thatâs what,â Sal grumbles glaring at the bottle of antiseptic. âI came here for a hug and an orgasm not you being mean to me.â
âIâm sorry angel,â Eddie apologizes as he perches on the edge of the bed, reaching up to grab Salâs chin turning his face towards him. âThis is gonna sting for just a second. Iâll try and get everything done as quick as I can then Iâll give you all the cuddles.â
âWhatever just get it over with,â Sal growls before flinching when Eddie runs his fingers and the little cotton ball over the cut on his lip.
He wants to say more.
Wants to tease Eddie about the soft look heâs giving him. The way his tongue is peeking out as he works gently but efficiently to make sure that Salâs as taken care of as possible.
Also wants to pull the other man into a kiss maybe force Eddie to do something more than look at him.
Somebody beating on the door stops him before he can. Whoever it is had better have an emergency, Sal thinks as he follows Eddie out into the hallway.
âOPEN THIS FUCKING DOOR! I KNOW YOUâRE IN THERE SALVATORE,â someoneâs shouting and the closer to the door they get the more easier they both recognize it.
He doesnât mean to whimper at the sound of his full name leaving someoneâs mouth in anger. The last time someone had said his name like that was his father before heâd beaten him and fled before the cops could get there.
âAngel, go back to the bedroom and call Buck and Tommy,â Eddie urges as he spins to face him. He presses a quick kiss to Salâs forehead before pushing him back down the hallway. âIâm gonna go deal with the mook.â
âHey, Eds?â
âYeah babe?â
âDonât do anything I wouldnât do.â
âOf course. Call Buck and Tommy then stay put in the bedroom until they get here.â
As soon as heâs sure that Salâs gonna listen to him heâs heads back towards the door and the asshole on the other side.
***
Sal shuts the bedroom door before making his way to his side of the bed to grab his phone. As he hits Tommyâs name he can hear things breaking as Chaseâs screaming intensifies. He can vaguely hear Eddie talking and he can tell that heâs barely holding his temper.
âTommy,â Sal whimpers down the phone as soon as his best friend answers the phone.
âSal where are you? Is Mackey there,â Tommy asks softly.
âHe beat on the door until Eddie answered it. Eds told me to go back to the bedroom and call you and Buck,â Sal says with a little bit more confidence. âHeâs screaming and breaking stuff.
What if he hurts Eddie, Tommy? I canât handle the idea of Eddie getting because of me.â
âSal weâre less than 5 minutes away from Eddieâs and weâll make sure that Chase doesnât hurt him,â Buck butts in on the conversation. âStay where you are.â
âOkay, stay on the phone until then? I donât wanna have to hear him screaming,â Sal asks before he hears what sounds like the thump of someone hitting a wall and he freaks out again.
âOf course Sal,â Tommy agrees before demanding âdammit the fuck out of the way.â
âSomebody just hit the wall,â Sal begins giving a play by play of what he can hear out in the living room.
âWeâre here,â Buck calls before slamming car doors ring out.
****
Heâs got Mackey pinned to the hallway wall not even 10 feet from where he knows Sal is. He prays that his boy listened and called their best friends. That Buck and Tommy are here soon because itâs taking everything in him not to wring this bastards neck for even daring touch Sal.
âEddie,â he hears Buck call his name and he breathes a sigh. With them here heâs willing to loosen his grip on Mackeyâs shirt just enough to let him gain his footing for a second before heâs sent to flying towards Tommy, who catches him without little fanfare.
Heâs got his arms pinned before Eddie can even say anything. Heâs never been more grateful to see someone before. As he follows behind he catches sight of Buck grabbing his chin and forcibly turning his head to make eye contact.
âSo whatâs this I hear about you touching Sal,â Buck growls out letting go of his face.
âThe little bitch thought he could lie to me and then be late getting home. When I said something about it he got sas-,â whatever Chaseâs saying is cut off by the back of Eddieâs hand violently coming across his face.
âWhat the fuck did you just say about him,â Eddie demands grabbing his chin much like Buck had.
âHeâs a little bitch. Wait youâre fucking his slutty ass arenât you,â Chase sneers. âOf course you are.â
Eddieâs digging his nail into his tongue before heâs even finished speaking. âYou ever and I mean ever contact him again Iâll make sure they never find your body,â Eddie snarls getting in his face for a second digging his nail in even harder. âTommy get him the fuck out of my house NOW.â
âWith pleasure,â Tommy hums as he and Buck drag Mackey out the front door and then stand guard waiting for him to get in his car and leave.
âAngel, itâs safe to come out here now,â Eddie calls through the bedroom door which immediately swings open like Sal had been waiting for it. He finds himself with an armful of his boy and he canât help but kiss him.
âHeâs really gone,â Sal asks breathlessly as he pulls away enough to make eye contact gaze searching Eddieâs trying to detect if heâs being lied to.
âYeah honey. Heâs gone forever now letâs go thank Tommy and Buck for coming over. Then weâll find something for you to munch on before we go back to bed.â
I have an idea for a 911 abc - centering around Buck... its up to the writer to make it Buddie/Tevan/BuckAbby/BuckTaylor/BuckNatalia or even no ships at all.
And its SEAL!Buck...
the prompt goes:
Chase Mackey reports to LAFD, LAPD, and Dispatch that he saw his former client getting kidnapped and he doesn't want to be on the suspect list, because he's not the one who got him kidnapped. He may be an ambulance chaser but he will never stoop that low.
more details
Buck gets wind of the fact that his squadmates are missing. But only after the fifth member goes missing. Still reeling from Eddie's words of being "exhausting", even if everything was fine and dandy within the 118... he approaches his lawyer, Chase Mackey.
...
lemme see if I can have my writer friend write this lol...
Thank you, you amazing wonderful people for the tags @thewolvesof1998, @prince-buck-diaz, @forthewolves, @panbuckley and @hippolotamus
I want to do something a little different with this weeks inspiration Saturday. I want your all's help for some inspiration! I need victims from the 911 universe for Buck! So put some names in the tags or just reply to this post, but also tell me why? To help, here is a moodboard for Jigsaw Buck!
As you can see I already have plans for Mr. Chase Mackey and of course Doug. So send along those names and reasonings, it'll make this fic all the more sweeter.

âYou know, being stuck here isnât actually the end of the world,â Chimney says, coming up to the table and picking up one of the smoke detectors. âIt just feels like it, Buck. Trust me, I know.â
âIâm pretty sure it might actually be the end of the world,â Buck says. âConsidering this is the sixth time Iâve lived this day.â
Chimney stares at him for a beat and then his eyebrows lift. âWait, are you like â dude, are you in Groundhog Day?â
OR
The post-lawsuit time-loop AU literally no one asked for.
Notes: I got to the Halloween episode of season 3 in my rewatch, and I knew immediately I had to re-read this. It is a post-lawsuit fic, but it doesnât baby Buck or villainize the 118 or vise-versa. It takes the stance that most level headed people in this fandom take, which is that everyone really just needed to talk to each other. And they do, talk to each other, that is. Eddie and Buck talk and get their heads out of their asses, and Bobby and Buck have a truly wonderful conversation that I wish they had in canon. Plus, itâs a time-loop fic, and, as Iâve said before, I LOVE time loop fics.Â

Eddie is forced to relive the pain of his past to reveal the truth behind Westview, his deal with Chase Mackey, and Buck.
Long before Westview was created, Eddie and Buck had gotten into an argument during a drive. In the middle of the drive, a truck had driven the car off the road, and they crashed hard into a deep ditch.
Eddie woke up a few hours later in the hospital with minimal injuries, Buck on the other hand⌠wasnât so lucky.
Weeks had passed, and there were no chances that Buck would ever wake up again.
Overwhelmed with grief and heartache, Eddie packed Christopher and a few essentials into their car for a long car trip. He just wanted to go on a drive, away from it all. He just needed time.
Before he left, Chase Mackey appeared and offered him the deal of a lifetime, stating that he wasn't like many others, and he could give Eddie everything his heart desired.
All he had to do was just sign on the dotted lineâŚ. And thatâs what Eddie did⌠sort of.
To his surprise, Mackey gave Eddie exactly what he wanted: A life with Buck, together for all eternity.
But now, Mackey has returned for his end of the deal⌠The Souls of all the Lives in Westview.
Story Story Below:
On a loose sheet of paper, Buck had tried to write out a speech, most of the words had been scratched out but one sentence stood out; Do you want to spend the rest of your tomorrows with me?
Soft sobs wracked at Eddiesâ chest before they turned into heavy cries as the man hunched over onto himself. Bucksâ letter slipped from his hands to the contract that Mackey had given him.
One of his tears fell down Eddiesâ cheek and landed on the contract, exactly on the dotted line. Eddie hadn't notice, nor did he notice that his tear had turned into ink, and transformed into words on the contract; Eddie Diaz
Thunder rumbled above Eddie, causing the man to open his eyes, barely in time to see the contract disappear in the sudden wind. Suddenly, the wind picked up and surrounded Eddie in a powerful tornado.
A bright yellow glow exploded from Eddie chest before total darkness encased him.
.
.
The sun beat over Eddiesâ head as he blinked heavily, and the black and white world around him came into view. His army uniform felt heavy in the summer heat as sweat formed on his forehead.
A stone pathway stood in front of the man, leading to a large suburban house. It was familiar, Eddie thought, it was⌠home?
Heaving his duffle bag over his shoulder, Eddie started walking up the pathway.
When the man stopped in front of the house, the front door suddenly opened inwards. The door opened to reveal Christopher.
âChristopher?â
Smiling widely, Christopher raced further into their house.
âPapa! Daddyâs home!â the boysâ voice rang against the walls as Eddie stepped through the doorway.
As the door gently closed behind him, Eddie heard footsteps softly approaching him as a figure rounded the corner.
Standing right in front of him⌠was Evan Buckley, his husband.
âEddie, welcome home,â Buck greeted with a smile as he held his hand out towards Eddie. The golden ring wrapped around his finger seemed to shine in the sunlight.
Every ounce of confusion was whipped off of Eddieâs face and was replaced by pure happiness and admiration.
