I mean, the three women are known for their splendid beauty and the three of them seem to have a different relationship with it and how it affects them (we still have to know more about Shakuyaku but for Hancock and Hiyori, especially the former I would say, their beauty has a lot to do with their respective traumas).

So no wonder the three of them fell in love with the one person they ever knew that didn't seem impressed by it. Rayleigh, Luffy and Zoro saw beyond that, treated them how they would treat everyone else and they appreciated that until it became something more.

So now we have Gloriosa and Shakuyaku...

EVIDENCE I: Similarity

I personally think that Toritoma has a similar smile to Luffy but that could just be me. I mean, look at them! Even their noses are similar!

It would make sense for Luffy to look more like his mother than his actual father because let’s be real, Luffy does NOT look like Dragon at all! But I do understand that it could just be an artist choice by the people drawing the manga.

EVIDENCE II: Age

In the newest chapter of 1156, we see the first official appearance of Toritoma in the manga and she looks to be a child around this time. 

We also see Garp in the same chapter and he looks to be fairly young so we can assume that he already had Dragon and Dragon is also a child around this time. I say this because Shakky or Shakuyaku was crowned the new empress as seen below and the manga stated “And her popularity continued to grow to an unmanageable level.” So due to her popularity growing, it would only make sense that the Navy would start chasing after the Kuja Pirates. Which would then mean that she was now being hunted by Garp around this time as she previously stated! And that was 40 years ago so if we minus that by Dragon’s age, he would have been at least 10 years old around this time.

Every OP fan is an expert, and only their opinion is the correct one. When I look in the mirror, I spot one of those too. Bunch of Nerds!

I'm kidding... but honestly I don't know.

One Piece is - in my opinion - too splintered to actually find something really messy (Pro-Tip: Stay away from places that are just for OP overall and search for places that are for the ship/character/crew you're into. Ídeally Find multiple smaller groups where you find support.) Even the FRobin fandom is so varied that it's hard to find any opinion that has no supporters.

I just hope that it will stay peaceful and that people don't start wars over headcanons one day. The more people flock to the ship, the bigger the fandom becomes, the more possibilities for wank.

But I hope that the ship in itself is so healthy, that the toxic people can't get enough fodder to start shit.

15. Unpopular opinion about the manga/show?

Not sure if it's unpopular but... Oda's perception about women aging is ridiculous.

-> When you're a child you're small and cute.

-> As a young woman you're beautiful, divine and super tall!

-> And then you shrivle up and become a potato. Maybe you stay big but most of the time you're become tiny plus so many more wrinkles!

There are always exemptions from the rule and there can be reasons found for stuff like that... and I know we're talking about anime, but that is not how women work!

Is it about good and bad endings (like I just read in a theory)? I don't know. Is Shakky still hot because she got her man? Who knows? Maybe we do get another explaination in the current flashback. (Also WHERE DID SHAKKY'S CHIN COME FROM?!)

So, if we take the "good future, bad future" options to the side, a less obvious example would be O-Tsuru. We see her the first time, she has a really nice, slightly crooked nose (based on classic japanese drawings). We see her younger self in a flashback, no crook to be seen. Did she get her nose broken in later years then?

Remember when this was supposed to be about how Loki witnessed Harald's death? Before we go any further though, also have to note a storytelling oddity for One Piece. Do you know how rare it is for an active cover serial to break away for consecutive chapters without some special purpose like film promotion? It's only happened three times before, one of them actually being the couple of chapters before we meet precious, precious Okiku. Didn't think we'd get to consider it at first but Chrysanthemum Festival's coming up. I wanted to note it too because we are getting to that point where well, this chapter's end pegs it as contemporaneous with Oden's Harem Revolt. Loki is only about four years older.

So we're only a few years behind where that flashback starts and these are neighboring countries. Just, keep it in your heart even beyond meeting Oden, Toki, and/or Izo out in the world. With how much this is breaking down it wouldn't be beyond the pale to even get into Harald or Gaban or someone going to Wano. Yasu, Hyogoro, Sukiyaki, or any of the retainers are fair game for this flashback too. Honestly...given we very specifically have only Gerd hearing the voice can't rule out the possibility one of them is Mosa either.

The main chapter though...wut? Sudden break for Kuja lore? Yes, it gets back to Rocks and all but this is distinct and gets the title so I'm counting it as a new layer. A layer we will not complain about. Shit's awesome. Especially when the chapter title is very keyed to their believable role as "Idols." Which is a concept I am very, very piqued by. It's also hilarious to imagine a black market for Kuja bounty posters. Loki, Harald's backstory, Rock's introduction, Kuja, Roger. This has been such a strange, criss-crossing tale and honestly? I'll at least say it makes sense now why Oden gave us a taste of unreliable narrators and Egghead started playing with story structure a little more. So let's see what this chapter has to add proper:
