Before I go to bed, I tried to write a short story reguarding my ocs Devil fruit and Amazon Lily. Like a fairytale/legend. I’ve also included a drawing! Which I kinda took inspo from medieval art in order to make it
“Legends say, snakes used to surround an island, guarding the women who occupied it in fear. Day and night, they circled the island like hawks. Till one day, a woman with wings and a horn like a unicorns stood up for the women hiding on the island. She approached one of the snakes, and said- “You will no longer poison these waters with your fangs, and you will instead kneel to the women of this island, and protect their wombs. Defy my words and my horn shall pierce your stomachs.”
The snakes obeyed. They stopped circling the island, and slowly over time became the protectors of the women living on the island. Heeding the woman’s words, they never once dared to poison the newly purified waters surrounding the island. For if they did, they feared she’d unleash a lifetime of suffering upon them.”

The snakes, in this case, are quite obviously the snakes that occupy Amazon Lily today. But in the story I wanted them to also represent men. The woman in the story, with wings and a horn like a unicorns, is supposed to be the very first person to have eaten my oc’s DF. ‘Defy my words and my horn shall pierce your stomachs.’ Shes indicating to the snakes (men) that if they don’t listen to what she says, she’ll curse them with the pain of giving birth, pretty much. ‘Slowly over time they became the protectors of the women living on the island’ also a metaphor for the men leaving Amazon Lily alone, and the actual snakes just becoming the protectors of the women on the island and slowly becoming their national animal. ‘They never once dared to poison the newly purified waters surrounding the island’ is another metaphor for Amazon Lily being right in the middle of the calm belt surrounded by sea kings, so men never dared to enter the waters surrounding Amazon Lily for a long time.
