Theres this film called Call of the Wild, and it's in cinemas in the UK rn
It's so good, the cgi on the dog is so cute and Harrison Ford is a gem.
But: the best bit is the big wolf the dog sees, the one guiding him. It is HUGE, big black wolf with glowing yellow eyes and I audibly gasped whenever it was on screen. Honestly, watch it just for that
This is the only photo I could find:
I’m just going to say it. The people complaining about the CGI in Call of the Wild being too “distracting” or “cartoonish” are the same ones who also didn’t like the live action Lion King movie because the lions didn’t emote. So which one is it man? Cause it seems like you aren’t happy no matter what they do.
I loved this movie, yes it tones down the dark, violent parts of the book drastically, but they weren’t going for realistic and gritty. They were going for an upbeat family-friendly movie.
Idk y’all it was a super cute movie and i teared up multiple times because Buck is so sweet. Give it a chance.
End rant.
me not seeing the movie yet but already knowing how my heart and eyes will react when i see rajah on the big screen in cgi (aladdin 2019): A GOOD BOI, THE BESTEST BOI, A+ ACTING, A BIG KITTY
my mum actually got upset that cats didn’t win an oscar......like.......ffs

I saw the trailer for Harrison Ford’s new film “Call of the Wild”. It’s based on the Jack London novel and is schedule to come out early next years.
I guess with the advent of realistic looking CGI animals (Jungle Book and Lion King) Hollywood has decided that CGI is better than the real thing. The dog in the trailer definitely looks animated - a bit cartoony. You can look at the photo above to see for yourself.
I’m going to guess the movie changes the end of the story (it’s pretty dark in the novel) making the film suitable for kids.

From what I hear from others here, I just have to say
Drogon has more emotion on his face in his whole seven years than the animals in the Lion King have the whole movie-
It's not that we wanted human expressions on these animals, we want these animals to have the correct expressions for said species of animal. Animals don't have -_-. They're full of their own expressions, and I feel like many people have pointed it out but are being attacked for it.. And honestly, anyone who says realistic animals don't have expressions clearly has never seen an animal.
