Okay I’m back on my baseless dumb theories bullshit
Captain Puffy just came out with a lore stream and IT WAS SO GOOD
But because of this my brain quickly racked up plot points together and I now have this meme constantly running through my head:

Anyway three quick clarifications: 1. This isn’t really a theory, I don’t fully believe in it so I’m just calling it an idea. Whether other people use this idea for a theory, an au, or whatever, that’s cool for them. I just thought this was cool and sad and wanted to share.
2. This idea isn’t suppose to sympathize with C!Dream at all. He’s a good villain, not a good person, no matter what this idea brings to the table. But that doesn’t also discourage fan writers from writing him as a good person go wild.
3. This idea isn’t suppose to diminish Puffy’s character in any way. I know she’s going to be a fully fleshed out character, and I don’t want her reduced to a simple parental character that’s in place for another character. This idea is just for fun and for angst.
Really that should be the disclaimer: This idea is suppose to be for fun and for angst-don’t read too much into it.
Okay let’s go!
The idea came from my love of Puffy being Dream’s mother and the fact there were two stands on that boat. Two stands-there had to be another person on that boat. Two people, a family crest, a book written From Mom? Dream was on that boat with Puffy, maybe helping with this family curse whatever it is. However there was a terrible storm, which wrecked their boat onto land.
Puffy didn’t make it.
Dream lost his mother, when she was so close to breaking the curse. He was in mourning, he brought her back to the SMP.
He met JSchlatt. Who had a very interesting deal. For a very interesting book.
Puffy wakes up on November 16th to bombs going off, with no memory of her past self. She joins the SMP, and who’s this little duckling following her around?
OKAY TIME TO STOP BEING VAGUE
Tldr: The idea is that Puffy is Dream’s mother but she died in that storm. Dream then makes a deal with Schlatt to get that revival book to bring her back to life.
Once again-don’t really take this seriously. This was just for fun and it angsty so I automatically love it and will share it.
Anyway I’m really excited for Puffy to OPEN THAT DAMN BOOK AND CONTINUE THE LORE PLEASE PAPA PUFFY I NEED MORE THAN CRUMBS OF LORE /j
