Now then, gonna start off with something light by going into more with my college au I had with Tech and Sap. Gonna be honest, they're kinda fuck buddies in this? Don't know how it started, but they just kinda did it and agreed on a system for when they wanna hook up or spontaneously do it when they're smoking/studying together. They kiss with no real feelings behind it, whether it be kissing each other good bye/night as jokes, or making out at a party when they play a game/get drunk enough to do it. Yes, they've woken up in each other's beds before, mainly from just passing out after a party/cuddling after a studying/smoking sesh, but there were a few times they did fuck. It's almost impossible to hide the evidence from the amount of hickies they've given each other, so Sapnap would wear a turtleneck with concealer while Techno also wore a turtleneck or a scarf with concealer. They've been caught a handful of times by friends (mainly Dream or Punz) when either one of them is attempting to walk out the room unnoticed, but the bed hair, still unconcealed hickies, and rumbled up clothes tell a story.
It's funny tho cause Techno just tells them to fuck off cause he knows Dream is gonna be on his ass when he gets back to the dorm after class while Sapnap freaks out and tries to make an excuse before asking Punz for help to get the concealer on on areas he can't reach. Omg, you can imagine the day Dream found out his best friend and rival were not only smoke buddies, but the occasional fuck buddies XD Priceless, ngl, but he got over it eventually cause he got his own buddy (Punz, who also eventually becomes his boyfriend in due time when Dream stops ignoring his feelings). Drunz is a whole other mess of their own, definitely is like a background relationship that I will focus on occasionally.
But, to add more plot, Techno is a history/english major with plans to get into law (ironic), simply to show how corrupt the system is from the inside out. He does fencing, orchestra, and is in a book club. Sapnap is a computer science major, but is on the brink of dropping out cause he doesn't know if this is what he really wants (Dream and Tech are kinda the only ones keeping him from leaving while they're actively trying to help him find a new major to look into). He does orchestra, soccer, and boxing club. Dream is a psychology major and plans to get into criminology to study criminals and their mindset. He does fencing, football, and in a music club. Punz is also a psychology major, but is also a biology major as he plans to either get into therapy or zoology. He does soccer, art, and photography club.
Mmm, that's all I can think of for now, and picking the majors was kinda difficult as I didn't really know what everyone would really do career wise so I kinda just winged it. Welp, thank you for coming to my midnight ramble, hope to see you guys next time uwu
(at 11:32) I find it really sweet how Punz was taking a screenshot (basically taking a selfie of him and the boys) while Dream Team are talking about Wilbur/L’Manberg. It just came off to me as ‘My friends are awesome :D’ ^^
Sometime post prison break, cdream has run off somewhere or something, no one can find him so csapnap and cgeorge (who has managed to stay in the real world by just not going to sleep) are tracking him down. Cpunz offers to help because obviously he wants to find cdream too, and csnf let him tag along even though he isn't part of the crew, isn't one of the originals, because they need help
Csapnap mentions going to check with ctechno, and that starts cgeorge off angry/annoyed/pissed off and definitely not jealous because why would he be jealous of them? What does he have to be jealous of? If he wants to skin the pig alive that's a separate issue.
Then cpunz, for whatever reason, maybe a weird sense of honour, maybe bragging rights, maybe stupidity, begins to talk about his connection to cdream, his real connection, what they've done together, how close they've gotten. He's expecting a reaction, but the most he gets is a 'so that's what he's been doing'. It's nonchalant. Neither csapnap or cgeorge are acting like this is a big deal
Cpunz doesn't get it and it pisses him off. Cdream barely even knows ctechno, he explains. Cdream spent all his time with him, planning, experimenting. Cdream trusted him, trusts cpunz to bring him back from the dead, and... What? Nothing? Cgeorge isn't even a little bit jealous of that?
And cgeorge just looks at him with tired, shrewd eyes and asks if he should be jealous of cdream's axe too. His shield? His armour? Yeah sure, cpunz spent all this time with cdream, but did cdream even bother to say goodbye and tell him where he was going? Cpunz doesn't answer, but that, of course is an answer in itself. Of course he didn't. You say goodbye to people. You don't say goodbye to things
Context one and two
On this thought train, thinking about how violently, aggressively, jealous cgeorge became at the thought of cdream becoming close to ctechno, at the thought of either himself or csapnap or both of them being replaced in by ctechno that he falls into a murderous rage and tries to kill God. And how he has never once really thought about cpunz, despite the fact that in reality cpunz is closer to being that than ctechno is. And I don't remember csapnap really thinking that hard about him either, and no one on the SMP really thinking that cpunz was working with cdream, and yeah they were hiding it and keeping it a "secret", but I think a bigger part of that is that no one really thinks of cpunz as a person? To everyone except cdream really, he's less of a guy and more of a plot device, or perhaps a tool that cdream maybe has at his disposal but that you might also be able to borrow sometimes

The way I think of cpunz is like this: he wants to be both cgeorge and csapnap for cdream so bad except he doesn't quite understand this, so he's 1) trying to fill the role of two people and 2) trying to fill the role of two different people and the ways that they differ pretty much cancel each other when put into a single person and so what gets left over is this very intense, cavernous nothingness that just acts as an echo chamber for cdream instead of creating that push and pull dynamic of the cdteam
And just— in the finale, the thing that finally gets cdream to break is someone, anyone, even ctommy —who was the catalyst to so much going wrong and has been the source of so much of cdream's grief and strife— saying 'there's another way, we can do this another way' aside from the toxic all consuming narrative that cdream had been building up in his head. And cpunz is still there. And ctommy says that cdream has been all alone with no friends and cpunz says that he's his friend and cdream just. Doesn't say anything. Do you understand? Do you get it??

Hi!! Punz is the Rapunzel Disney American girl doll! I actually didn’t pick her which is why I love her so much! I was really into American girl doll as a kid, but it had a lot of bad memories attached to it so I had kind of moved on to one of a kind of hand painted dolls, which I still have a few of them. I love with my whole heart, but for my birthday a few years ago that surprised me with an American girl doll and it was the first time I actually opened one out of the box brand new that was just for me, and there was just something so special about the fact that my dad had gone out thought about it all that I would want got the doll and surprise me with it. It made me feel like the book the little princess so I love her because she has her, but I also love her because she’s one of the best gifts, if not, the best gift I’ve ever had in my entire life.
