Going from living in NYC to LA has radicalized me more against cars more than I ever thought would be possible. To get groceries, 5 minute walk to the car + 30 minute drive x2 thatâs over an hour spent that could be a 10 minute walk there AND back. To get across the city in LA going on the highway anywhere takes forever because thereâs traffic 24/7 (donât get me wrong I know the Long Island express way has problems) but it shouldnât mean I have to expect Iâll be at my destination 4x later than initially planned!?!
