it was your first day of university

and you were more or less lost in the huge building

your first lesson was supposed to be in room 4 but when you looked up you saw room 56? 

and then this guy comes up to you and offers to help you look for your class (because it was pretty obvious you didn’t know where it was)

you happily accept ofc

cuz you really really need help

but the both of you just end up wandering around the place

tURNS OUT this dude is a first year as well and barely knows his way around

he actually wanted to help you because he’s genuinely a really nice human being, not because he wanted to hit on you or whatever

he’d forget about his homework and you actively had to remind him

sometimes he’d tell you in the morning that he was going to take you somewhere later on

then he’ll wake up at 3am and scream 

it shocks you awake as well and you’re panicky and all

you ask him what’s wrong 

and he says “nth i just remembered about the date. goodnight go to sleep”

and flops down on the bed and starts snoring

although he’s forgotten about your dates numerous times 

you can’t stay angry at him 

because when you confront him about it he’ll start to cry

he’s the type of bad boy that’s pretty rebellious 

he skips classes, doesn't do his assignments, talks back to the teacher that sort of thing as well

rides a motorbike without a legal licence 

likes to spray-paint on floors and walls in deserted areas 

sometimes even sings

he doesn’t usually get into serious trouble but if there’s anyone picking a fight with him, he’ll go

punches and kicks and all

so technically if you mess with him he’ll mess with you right back

no one really knows what he associates himself with outside of school but sometimes he comes to school with bruises on his arms and scratches on his forehead

people rarely notice them but those who do are too afraid to ask him about it 

most people steer clear of him (except for his friends) cuz they’re afraid he’ll hurt them 

some popular girls do cling onto him cuz he’s really good looking and it’ll be cool to date him and they brag about it to their friends

and he doesn’t really seem bothered by their company he just lets them stick to him because they don’t do any harm whatsoever

but there are times when they get too annoying for his liking and he asks them to go away for good

they’re also immediately added to his blacklist so once he asks a girl to go away they don’t ever go back to him

not that they don’t want to, though

minghao doesnt really socialise with girls (unless they approach him of course) so his circle of friends are mainly guys

he’s heavily crushed on because of his badboy personality as well as his looks, but he doesn’t really care

never tucks in his uniform t-shirt, tie never put on properly but the teachers are surprised he even bothers to wear his uniform

outside of school he’s usually seen wearing sleeveless shirts with huge armholes

sometimes, leather jackets when he’s biking

his converse have been worn for about 2 years but they’re still in good condition

occasionally wears a black bandana to school, which is against school dress code, but that’s exactly why he wears it

recently dyed his hair and began growing a mullet, because he enjoys the thrill of breaking school rules

started spotting new pieces of artworks around what was supposed to be his territory, an empty carpark 

it was constructed a while ago but no one bothered to continue building the top part because apparently the construction company went bankrupt

so he used the bottom part of the building as his spray-paint canvas

every time he went to the site there was always a new piece somewhere

they were so different from his

yet they were so alike 

minghao’s works were always mountains, trees and skies, that type of thing but the only colour he used was black

the pieces he saw were so colourful and vibrant

sometimes they were spray-painted, sometimes they were coloured in with acrylic paint 

but they were exactly like his work

it was as if the person copied what he did and just added colour

at first he was mad

the person’s works were so unoriginal that it angered him

but after that he didn’t really mind

he took it as that the person was using his pieces as inspiration

one day he decided to skip school because he just wasn’t in the mood for it

before he stepped in he heard someone singing

boy it was so good minghao stopped walking so that he could hear it properly

he didn’t even pay attention to the lyrics

all he noticed was the way the person sang so smoothly and how her vocals flowed into his ear and swished around in his head

after a while everything just went silent so he walked further in

and he saw someone 

he figured it was a girl because of her hair that reached past her shoulders and stopped at her back

she was leaning in really close to the wall and making small movement with her right hand, while her left was clutching a paint palette

there were spray cans and acrylic paint tubes everywhere around her on the ground

a few paintbrushes here and there too

minghao realised it was the person who’s been leaving artworks everywhere

you were focusing on painting in the thin lines so you stopped singing for a while 

the thing was, he wanted to hear you sing again

so he headed in your direction

you turned before he even reached you cuz you heard his footsteps and all

“you’re the one? i like your spray-paintings. i’ve never really seen you around though,” you said to him and chuckled

“yeah, i’ve never really seen you around as well,” he replied

you just laughed and went back to whatever you were doing

so he just stood there and watched, all mesmerised and stuff

he doesn’t actually know whether you were aware he was watching but if you were then you didn’t mind

cuz you just continued singing

then after a while minghao thought about how it was really weird that he just stood there and stared at you for so long

so he went to an empty wall and made a new painting

the both of you just did your own things

until it was pretty late at night

he was curious why you haven’t returned home yet

so he asked

then you asked him the same thing

and the both of you just fit together

the whole night y’all were just sitting there talking about your lives

minghao realised that you were in his biology class 

he just never noticed because he skipped that lesson so many times

“not a fan of sciences,” he said

after that day he began turning up for his classes

just so he could see you more

and before you knew it he asked you out

y’all went to eat together at macdonalds cuz both of you were broke spent all the money on art supplies duh

then he asked you to be his girlfriend

by spray-painting a picture of you on the wall

and you agreed by colouring it with him

while crying like so much

he made it official in school as well just so that everyone knew that you were his property

he’s just so in love with you honestly

because you understood him more than anyone else and shared the same interests and passions

minghao would kill anyone that dared to hurt you
