Hey there! I didn't mind it too much. The narrative emphasized his naivety early on, so it seemed in-character for him to keep trying. He had read a lot of fantastical stories about how "the good prevails", and he was probably holding out hope it could happen for Kludd. Maybe he didn't realize just how deep Kludd's bitterness went. Or maybe he did realize, but he didn't want to accept it, because nothing he'd read growing up had prepared him for that possibility, and it scared him.

Was it unrealistic and overly optimistic? Totally. At the same time, it was also unrealistic of him to look for the Guardians, and he looked for them anyways. In that sense, I liked how the movie struck a balance between his optimism being useful, and being a character flaw. It both helped him and hurt him in the end.

What would annoy me is if Soren repeatedly engaged with Kludd over and over, and met the same resistance each time, only for it to never change Soren's verdict. But there were only two interactions between Soren and Kludd once they were kidnapped (Kludd explaining that he was home, and Kludd and Soren fighting), so I didn't reach that point. That said, Kludd trying to yank Soren to his death seems like a pretty hard line to cross. I would be surprised if even Soren still tried to turn Kludd after that, lol.

Collice steps forward, placing his hands together, a bright and eager smile on his face.

Collice: Well hello darling! It's an absolute pleasure to get such an ask, we don't get those often-

He raises one arm and holds his hand high as his head tilts towards the sky.

Collice: I for one quite enjoy some good ballet every once in a while~

I also do enjoy partaking in more. . .ehh childish activities?

But one of my most treasured activities. . .has to be taking care of myself honestly.

His tone shifts from theatrical, to something more sincere.

Collice: Just the mere act of treating myself to a new book, a small cup of tea, or simply not putting any worries into dressing up. . .is enough some days.

He looks off to the side, bringing his hands together, as if the confession is almost shameful.

Soren frowns for a moment, seemingly confused.

Soren: We don't get many visitors. . .

He huffs, his antennas twitching in thought before he answers in a. . .less than happy tone.

Soren: Guitar. . .I like playing the guitar.

Then in a softer voice, as if a whispered secret.

Soren: . . .I like wood carving too.
