I have been collecting modern Star Wars figures for around 6-7 years now. In the beginning I wasn’t quite sure where this journey will go and whether it will be only a short trip or last for a while. Coupled with all the different existing habits of collecting and opinions, whether to keep things mint on cards and in boxes or not, I felt quite insecure about what to do with the packagings. I always was an opener and mainly interested in posing the figures, not looking at the packaging. Keeping the cards for the TVC figures, however, was a no brainer. But what about all the TLC, TAC, POTF2, SAGA, OTC, POTJ, and other packagings? Would I maybe put the figures back in their blisters and have a better chance selling them one day, if I’d choose to do so? Well if in doubt, keep everything until your shelves spill over, right? That’s what I did, and here we are years later, shelves hopelessly flooded with garbage. Symptoms of a hoarder. So I finally gathered my senses last weekend and threw the bulk of all the packagings away, keeping only the cards themselves, turning 3D spread over several boxes into 2D, contained only in one box, tearing off any space consuming blisters, bringing bags of plastic and paper down to the garbage cans, removing things, that still were lingering in the blisters: droid parts, photos, figure stands, miniature hologram figurines, coins, games... Do I feel relieved? Yes, I do! And on top I feel that the droid parts and hologram miniatures might be helpful for setting up future scenes. Not sure though if I need the coins and stands. If anybody wants them, let me know and we will see what we can do :-) #starwars #actionfigures #buildadroid #buildafreak #starwarscoins #figurestands #notmintoncard #notmoc #thelegacycollection #theanniversarycollection #potf2 #potj #originaltrilogycollection #thesagacollection #thevintagecollection #375inch https://www.instagram.com/p/BxLUxWvgx_f/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=17u9vnsxnds9m
