In that one flashback, Henry appeared to rewind the clock (and it was never mentioned again). Henry thinks people are performing a “silly, terrible play” by pretending that they had never done things they regret (his father during the war) or that they weren’t suffering (the four teenagers in season 4).

In BTTF, Marty slightly changes the past, resulting in his parents being happier and more confident. Their former bully now works for them, in a way paying for how he treated the McFly’s before.

In the epilogue, Hawkins appears to be overly idyllic. The wide shots of the town shows a lighter, more polished version of the Hawkins. No one objects to Dustin’s graduation speech which claims that “walls broke down” and everyone started to get along regardless of their usual cliques. The party, usually bullied, are now happy and confident and invited to a party (by one of the usual ‘mean girls’). El, by some standards Henry’s arch-nemesis, is entirely out of the picture.

Karate Kid in ST has been haunting me.

I knew that it’s a martial art movie, and saw no connection to ST ideas. Now that we suspect a time loop involving the shirt with the name of the movie (and an apparent BTTF ref), I wondered, whether I’d missed something. As far as I knew, the franchise had nothing to do with time travelling.

However… Turned out that it’s not exactly right 👀

Also “to do something different” in the part 3, is it like the DB wanted to do something different in their season 3? “Do a flying people movie”? “It’s like I could fly” you mean?

This is not the first ref. related to KK, I once went down Ralph Macchio rabbit hole, an actor from KK, and found out that this scene is an homage to the episode “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place” of the series “Happily divorced” about a couple where the ex-husband is a closeted gay man. Ik I’ve shared it, but it is so mind blowing, I believe it deserves more attention!
