Can't wait to see more of these adorable besties
You know what I really love in There's The Rub? The fact that, when Rory comes back to the kitchen after talking to Dean on the phone, Jess is in the middle of telling Paris that he "can't get into poetry," (Lies! But I digress...) because that means they just carried on with their literary discussion without Rory being in the room. That Jess was enjoying actually conversing with Paris BY HERSELF and felt comfortable sharing his opinions with her, and Paris was interested in hearing them.
The conversation didn't just die awkwardly when Rory left the room, as if both of them were only there for her. I really wish the show had given these two lonely, awkward, and prickly teenagers the chance to really be friends, because they genuinely seemed to enjoy one another's company and respect each other as intellectual equals, and that was so rare for them.
(We need more of this Brotp)
TURN WEEK DAY 5! I skipped day 4 because I ran out of time, but those burning to know my favorite season (read: no one), it’s probably s2.
Today’s theme is favorite relationship, and I really was considering doing one of my big ships... Anyone who’s talked to me about TURN for any length of time probably knows I’ve got two, and they’re Tallster and Annlett. But I’ve made content for both of those before, and it’s predictable from me, so I decided to go for my favorite platonic relationship, and it’s these two!
I feel like Caleb and Anna have a really sweet friendship - One which I wish we’d gotten to see a little more of. Excluding his “this is men’s work” bullshit from early on (and doesn’t she put him in his place!), he seems to respect her in a way her other male friends just sort of... Well, don’t. He recognizes she’s smart and has a different, valuable perspective, nudges Ben to listen to her, and values her contributions more than the others do - And that hug after the failed wedding? My heart.

A/N - @the-shipping-machine @ego-16 i finished this in one night. WHY CANT I BE THIS PRODUCTIVE WITH HOMEWORK?!?!
Mx. Hekate Magic wasn't one to interact with others - they prefered to go unnoticed. But even in their most normal attire ever, blue jeans and plain floppy shirts, topped off with an uncomfortable 'jean jacket' as Marceline had called it. In fact, everything they were wearing felt wrong, and off. But they had to blend in, so they - what had she used? 'Roll with it'? Yes, that. They were so used to flowing dresses and hooped skirts, that feeling rough cloth against their skin felt awkward. The bright lighting of their current surroundings in the store hurt their eyes, and they didn't like it at all. They didn't like the many yet few people in the store at that time, and they did not like the man who had been following them since the cereal aisle. He was lean and tall, cloak-like shirt and dark sunglasses hiding his face.
"Agh!" Their shoulder bumped into an older man. They went to apologise, but he seemed to be faster. But when he leaned closer to speak, he did not really apologise. The way his eyes glanced for barely even a second at the man following them spoke the truth. They gave a pleading look.
"Ah, I apologise, I haven't even introduced myself!" He gave a genuine smile, but as his eyes once again flicked to the man currently pretending to look at packeted cheese, his face flooded with disgust. He wanted to help them, that they could respect.
"My name is Alfred," He gestured for them to walk together. "Alfred Williams. And who might you be?"
"O-oh, um," Damned stutter! "M-my, uh, my name is, er, Hek-Hekate."
They pressed their lips together, quickly turning away from him. But he reassured them, gave them comfort as they silently escaped the man looming behind them.

Hekate never expected to continue to meet Alfred at random. But their encounters were fleeting, never lasting longer than a few bare seconds of greetings. Yet they felt as if their fates were tied somehow. My oh my, they were very much correct.
"Mx. Magic! I don't think you've met Ryder and his series yet." Hekate turned around to greet Marina, their little saviour. Putting on a smile, they looked up to say hi, only to find a very familiar face.
"YOU!" They yelled at the same time, pointing fingers and faces. He ran to them, and they welcomed him happily and gratefully with open arms.
"It's been forever! I can't believe it's you!" He pulled away for just a second, and they laughed.
"I wouldn't say forever! We just haven't bumped into each other for, like, I don't know, a few weeks? Or even a month!" Alfred pulled a hand to his chest in disbelief.
"A month?!? Unimaginable!"
Well, I'd be lying if I said this wasn't a life long friendship-
"Wait wait wait hold on," Mr. Williams grabbed Mx. Magic's shoulders and turned them to face him. "Doesn't that sound weird?"
"Well do *you* want to write it?" They gestured to the computer. "This shit ain't easy, bud."
"Oh no no no," He shook his hands and his head. "You can keep that to yourself. Also you didn't mention me being british."
"I barely had a concept of race back then, why would I be able to tell if you were?" Mx. Magic whacked his arm.
"Did you just-" He looked to them in feigned anger. "Do NOT smack me!"
"Smack smack smack smaaaaack!" With each word, they smacked him again and again.
"Ooohh this is the kind of game you want to play, hmm?" He rolled up his sleeves hastily. "C'mere!"
The two best friends ran, one for their life and the other for revenge. That's just how friends are though!
