Sprites for PokeBox

Here are some sprites I made for PokeBox! A really fun Pokemon breeding simulator/idle game I’ve been playing~

Not all sprites are in the game at the time of posting (when/if Ageman20XX adds them, don’t assume they’re going to be added next update just because I’m posting them, haha). Also a few were edited by Ageman before being added, these are my versions but you can play the game to see the final versions ;D

My new king does have a Glitch where he has all the stats and progress of the old King, so I wonder how that will impact the gameplay. I'm very tempted to just start over will all of the lionesses that I have (aka - send them to the nature reserve and get some new ones) and I'm just wondering - Is it worth it to gene/mark them up?

One way to collect gold, eggs and other items is by completing missions. NPCs will have a number of requests for you to fulfill. You will need to gather supplies and travel to the designated location in an Oregon trail-like simulator. You may find treasures, wandering monsters, or other surprises along the way. But be cautious! Some surprises may be dangerous and inhibit your progress. Deciding on which resources to bring is vital. You have a limited carrying capacity, so choose very carefully!

These stats can be found on your monster’s character profile. The starting stats depend on the monster’s trait and can be raised with rare items called Poppies.

Charisma effects the character's ability to attract merchants, pacify enemies, and persuade wandering monsters to join your ranch.

Endurance determines how much energy you have, as well as how well you resist injuries, disease and curses.

Magic effects the character's ability to use mana to fight off enemies, escape traps, and discover hidden areas.

Gold is the in-game currency used to buy items from the shop or merchants you find during missions.

Food replenishes your monster's energy during missions. It's also important for feeding impoverished communities in your world.

Herbs are important for curing disease and recovering health. It's also important for eliminating plagues that may pose a threat to the communities in your world.

Mana is a slightly rarer resource, but you need it to use the magic skills of your monsters.

Each creature you collect will be placed in your ranch. Every player starts with two ranches and upgrades can be purchased with in-game currency. Each ranch can hold four monsters at a time and can be decorated with a variety of items found during play.

On the ranch screen, tapping on one of your monsters will initiate a short dialogue from them. You can rename your ranch, organize your monsters, or examine your monster's profile by tapping their name. Once in a while, a heart will appear above two monster's heads. If you tap on it they will ask you if they can use a nest. If you approve, they will occupy a nest and an egg will appear in a few days time.

Their name can be changed by tapping on it. They can be released (permanently deleted) by tapping on the corresponding button. They can also be moved to a different ranch.

Each player begins with two nests, and more can be purchased with in-game currency.

Incubators are special items that can be an easy way to hatch eggs. The red incubator will hatch an egg in 10 hours, while the gold incubator will hatch an egg in 5. Each of them can be purchased in the shop.

There are a variety of colors and species of Monsters in Wisteria, and several ways you can begin collecting them. They each have a Trait which sums up their personalities and may have other benefits as you explore the world. Breeding is an essential part of monster collecting, as it is the only way you can obtain Hybrids. Acquiring and hatching eggs can be a rewarding experience as you interact with your hatchlings and watch them grow!

A dozen different species are currently available with fourteen different variations each. Many more will be added during the progression of the game and through updates after release. Let’s go over the different ways you can find and collect monsters!

Breeding - This is the only way to get hybrids, which are a rare variety of monster who exhibit features of both parents.

Finding Lost Eggs - During missions or while gathering resources, there’s a chance you may find an abandoned egg. You can get certain species from certain areas of the map.

Recruiting Wandering Monsters -  During missions you may come across homeless monsters. It may be possible to convince them to join you, if you wish.

Rewards - An egg may be given to you as a reward if you complete difficult missions for different factions.

Shop - Eggs may be bought for cash or in-game currency through the shop.

The Trait of the monster is randomized as it’s created. Some of Traits are more uncommon than others, and a few are very rare. Here are a handful of examples listed from most common to uncommon.

Nurturing - Your monster loves hatchlings and eggs, and cares for them gingerly. Eggs seem to hatch a little faster when walking with him. Nurturing monsters have a knack for magic.

Vigilante - With a taste for justice, vigilante monsters are not afraid to punish the wicked. She is quite charismatic and enemies may be fearful of her.

Unlucky - Nothing seems to go right when this monster is around. It’s almost as if bandits can sense his weakness, as he is often their target. Well, at least he seems to gain experience faster.

Sleepy - This lethargic monster moves much slower than an the others. It takes longer for her to complete missions… if she has the energy for it.

When two monsters of the opposite sex occupy the same ranch, it is possible that they will want to use one of your nests. This will be indicated by the heart hovering above their heads. If you approve, they will take residence in a nest and lay an egg within a few days. As we mentioned earlier, this is the only way you can get hybrid monsters.

Once you hatch an egg, you can name the hatchling and wait for it to grow. As with any monster, tapping on it in the ranch can lead to an interaction. However, during this time it cannot complete any tasks for you - it just needs to sleep. For several entire days. But it looks hella cute doing it.
