Well here is the thing about this specific excerpt, Danyka didn’t, in fact, have a plan. Her plan was merely barging in and yelling at people until they conceded with whatever she said. This is not a plan, this is simple idiocy. But Brice, so blinded by her love for Danyka, very conveniently ignored it.

From the moment Brice walked into her dorm room freshman year, they’d done everything together. Just the two of them, as it always would be.

Need I say anything? Yes. That’s unhealthy. Also. True Love™.

This book is trying really hard at being poetic, and here it does nothing but prove my point more.

Sometimes she felt bad for Danyka’s future mate, whoever that would be. The poor bastard wouldn’t know what hit him when he bound himself to her. Unless he was wolf-kind himself—though Danyka had about as much interest in sleeping with a wolf as Brice did.

Now we are getting longer monologues which cement my belief that these two were indeed married. At this point, it has been well established that to sj/m Mated™ relationships. Then why does sj/m think it will be a good idea to undermine Danyka’s relationship with her possible mate, for her relationship with Brice. Gee, I wonder why.

If he grabs his phone to check his messages before his dick’s barely out of you again, please have the self-respect to kick his balls across the room and come home to me.
