Ruhn x Reader angst to fluff

Smoothing your hair, you stepped out of your car in the driveway as you strode towards Ruhn’s house. You were already regretting the heels you’d donned for your anniversary, feet aching in opposition to the excitement you felt to celebrate one year since Ruhn had asked you out.

Cheeks burning from smiling so hard, you turned the door handle and entered the busy frat house. It wasn’t unusual for many guests to be over, so you paid them no mind as you shouldered your way through the crowd toward the game room where Ruhn usually spent evenings like this.

Trying to talk Tharion out of marrying his sister to save her from the nightmare of the Avallen Twins because Sathia was spoiled sucks in so many levels. He is way more spoiled than she is if he can’t see that, as a Fae Female, she was in a vulnerable position with their father and didn’t have his opportunities to leave home and be better. Apparently, he never thought he could take responsibility for her, as her brother, and see who she could be when removed from the toxic influence of their family.

We are presented to Sathia in a scene of defiance. Even without resources or support from her family, Sathia tries to refuse the impositions of the fae. We also see her asking Bryce about her plans to the fae, clearly worried about her people. She also jumps into collaborating with the revolution immediately. Later, in the meeting with the River Queen, she knows exactly how to behave and what to say, helping Tharion to achieve the goal he had.
