suddenly struck by the urge to create soundscapes again, get back into sound design. i don't actually have a project but it would be nice to have custom background nose for my writing projects...
Throwing myself out of a window cuz i dont know how to write anymore ðŸ˜
im so upset i have to undo trackbear progress now...
this has happened before i just need to find a new application for writing i think. which sucks ass because pages is essentially everything i want in a writing application. but then every three months or so it will crash and i will lose my progress and that's a pretty critical design flaw i have to say.

ryan condal empire quote about alicent being fit to rule because she doesn't have a dragon so she's more stable and sensible. get out of here with that. owning a dragon doesn't make you less stable. it gives you access to great destructive power, but ultimately you can choose not to use it (see: helaena). i don't doubt that growing up with the knowledge that you have access to a dragon makes you see the world differently, but it's just that, a different view of the world, not a force that makes you inherently senseless and unstable.
also, separate from personal moral qualities, having a dragon makes your rule much more stable. nobody actually has a "right" to the throne - monarchy is a social construct. it's legitimate as a result of consensus among the lords and the populace, upheld by the threat of violence, rather than an inevitable fact in and of itself. and the easiest way to build consensus in a war-driven patriarchal society like westeros is with a show of force; which dragons, capable of melting unprepared towns (see: sharp point) and enacting violence on a scale almost unimaginable for a single person, achieve quite handily!
just finished s3. fascinated by. the everything. sort of bored by alys' backstory. also disgusted that we didn't get to see more of rhaena especially given that helaena is given some focus. what we did get of helaena was good i feel but i wish helaena/rhaena/baela's imprisonment was contrasted but sadly rhaena and baela are yet again mostly ignored :/ did enjoy baela mouthing off to rhaenyra.
a bad idea has resurfaced: watch every single episode of star wars media that has ever existed in chronological order
