what "you’re always shifting" actually means ꪆৎ
when people say you shift with every moment, with every breath you take, etc, what does that actually mean? i think this might be difficult for a lot of people to understand because a lot of us think of shifting or quantum leaping or manifestation as an action, something we achieve with a method or some specific state, etc. so what does that mean? how does it work?
well, saying that you "shift with every moment" implies shifting is not only natural and innate to you- something you're born able to do and born doing from every single moment of your existence- but also that it's something that is necessary in order for us to have this human experience. that may have been hard to follow but stay with me.
it comes down to ideas in nonduality. specifically the idea that each moment we experience, stands alone. the past and present are illusions. the only thing that ever exists is this present, right here, right now.
okay lets use an analogy because it's getting a little hard to explain and i want you to understand, and also i love using them ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ
you already know that you're god, source, the universe, pure consciousness, pure awareness, whatever you want to call it. think of yourself as this pure awareness, but for the sake of this analogy, imagine that being personified. this is just the way my brain visualizes it; it isn't literal. but stay with me.
so imagine you're sitting at a theater. one of those old timey ones that still uses film reels. when you look up at the projection on the screen, you see one frame at a time. a single moment. on the film reel, each frame is "separate". each frame stands alone. separately they are nothing. they aren't related in any way. together, they tell a story. together, with context, understanding, feeling, emotions, linearity, it means something. it becomes experienceable. but if you saw them in a random order, without continuity, without anything to attach each frame together, it wouldn't mean anything. there would be no experience.
now let's get more specific. the film you're currently watching is the movie of your life. but the you that you currently in this moment believe you are is not the you that's watching the movie. you, your ego identity, with your name, face, age, past, etc, that person is the main character in the story you're watching on the screen. the true you, the real you, is the being simply sitting in the theater. never moving anywhere. never doing anything. simply observing. simply experiencing. watching. witnessing.
however, you, the you i'm speaking to right now. you don't feel like the universe sitting in a theater watching a reflection of yourself. if you were aware of that, then the experience wouldn't feel real, would it? it would be boring. it wouldn't be a true experience.
think of it like this. the true you, pure consciousness you, is sitting so close to the screen right now that it truly believes it IS the character. thats you. right now. so immersed that you forgot your own power. your limitless-ness. your potential. your divinity.
so how does this tie back to shifting? well each moment we experience is actually completely disconnected. there's no meaning to anything. that isn't hopeless or cynical. it's beautiful. because we get to give everything meaning. and we do. we create a story.
therefore, each and every moment that you have any experience, every second that you're alive, with literally every moment that passes, it's a new frame. and each new frame is a shift. each new moment is a different reality, simply because its a different frame. you are the one creating the story. you are the one assigning meaning to what you see. you are the one observing, experiencing, directing, creating, choosing, feeling, acting, its all you.
it does get more complicated. the "pure consciousness", vastness, god of who you actually are, who everyone and everything actually is, that you is not literally sitting at a movie theater somewhere. in fact it isn't anywhere. it's simply everything in one single moment, experiencing itself through each of us. through the illusion of separation, it gets to experience itself. you are one fractal of that separation. experiencing yourself in your little story. that doesn't mean that you're small and insignificant, but it means you are the entire universe, the one god, in one tiny reflection of yourself.
and so again, going back to shifting/manifesting.
you have the power to see whatever frame you want. frame meaning reality. you can experience whatever reality you want. because you're not the character within the story, you are the entire story itself. you are the one creating and experiencing. not the character. the character is a small part of you, but it isn't all you are.
i'll make a post talking more about the character, the ego identity, in detail and link it here later. but point is. you are not limited. you never were. there's NO difference between shifting from this moment to hogwarts in the next than there is shifting from this moment to the perceived next logical moment in this reality. it's all just one singular frame. it's all just the same amount of frame. the same space. the same everything. just a different story. the only reason it feels so different is because you are so immersed in this story and the meaning you've attached to it, and you are so deeply identified with this character. which isn't wrong. like i said, that's what allows us to have a rich experience. you don't have to break that to shift. like i said a million times by now, you already shift, in every moment. because that's the only way you experience anything at all.
so point of this post is, you can shift, you literally do with every second. you've shifted infinitely in the time you read this post in itself. shifting isn't just natural and innate, but it's literally the basis of life. shifting to your dr is no different than what you've been doing unknowingly.
i hope this helps and i love you forever,
