Little boundshipping sketch <3

If someone demands too much of Yuugi's time, he hisses until they go away.

Yuugi is not amused.

So ofc I think about Klepto/Board/Bound cuddles as Bakhure struggles with nightmares and Yuugi struggles with gamedev work stress.

Yugi paused his hand, having just been stroking through Bakura’s newly combed and very soft curls.

"We can switch positions."

"Not that, I mean..."

Bakura didn't know what he meant, sitting up to gesture vaguely between them.

Yugi tilted his head, a soft but knowing smile on his face. "We can stop cuddling."

Bakura shook his head, flopping back onto Yugi’s chest in defeat. "Not that either. I feel like I shouldn't...have this."

"That's the trauma wound talking, I think," Yugi resumed stroking his hand through Bakura’s hair, "We're cuddling not because you deserve it, but we both want to. Our reward is getting to snuggle."

"No, I mean...the quiet. The calm. It's so...too..."

"Peaceful?"

Bakura grunted in agreement, not wanting Yugi to still his hand.

"Joey had trouble with that too," Yugi nuzzled the top of Bakura’s head. "I won't say why but...you are allowed to feel calm. Safe. It makes me happy you feel at peace with me."

Bakura exhaled softly, wrapping a leg around Yugi. "I'm afraid something will take you away...punish me for letting my guard down, in a way. Even if I know his highness would step in before anything happened to you."

"Oh, my partner and my lover working together to keep me away and ignoring their millennia long feud to do it? Stop, I'm swooning!"

Bakura snickered, butting his head against Yugi’s shoulder. "Quit, I'm trying to be serious."

Yugi curled inward to kiss Bakura’s cheek. "So am I! But I think I'd be okay with you letting your guard down with me. Let me be the hero making you feel safe in my arms, hmm?"

Bakura groaned quietly but didn't object, seeming only to cling tighter to Yugi. "I do, and it scares me."

"Feeling safe?"

"That it feels so easy to feel safe with you."

Yugi wrapped his arms around Bakura. "So, it feels wrong that I make you feel safe?"

"It feels wrong to feel safe at all."

"You’re not used to it, at least not with other people. Maybe it's okay to be scared if it's new."

Bakura didn't reply, letting the quiet settle back in.

Yugi continued to hold him, one hand eventually wandering back up to play with the ends of Bakura’s curls.

"Do I make you feel this way?"

Yugi shrugged, watching the ceiling. "It feels a little unreal sometimes, but I think if you didn't want to be around me you would've left a long time ago. And now it feels like you belong here, and if you left there would be something noticeably missing."

Bakura released a long sigh, pressing back against Yugi’s chest. "Maybe I spent too long not keeping a presence that it feels weird to have that space and not be unwanted."

Yugi hums in agreement, kissing Bakura's head. "Still feel wrong?"

Time to think about how Bakhure learns to make perfect coffee for Yuugi because game devs survive on that and stress.
