part two of TeeKO [ part three ]

Thought I'd share some headcanons that I've been working on. So here is a little collection for my favorite ship

Lapis lazuli is Atem's favorite gemstone, he loves the bright blue, so Mahad had a lotus bracelet inlaid with lapis lazuli made for Atem, it’s Atem’s favorite piece

Mahad was hand picked by Aknamkanon to be Atem’s right hand. Since Atem has no siblings to rely on, Aknamkanon wanted to have someone his son could trust and grow with.

While Mahad was brought forth to Pharaoh Aknamkanon due to his exceptional magic. Aknamkanon picked him due to his steady presence, patience, and kindness. 

The first time meeting the young prince, Atem invited him to play senet with him. While Mahad has not won yet, it’s something they still do to this day if either of them need to decompress or just want an excuse to spend time together

Atem never treated Mahad as lesser, he always put him and Mahad on the same level and never budged on this

Mahad hand picked Atem’s royal guards, Kaha was chosen to be the head of the guard. He wasn’t the first pick for many of the other guardians but Mahad saw his potential and oversaw Kaha’s training. Kaha grew into a competent loyal leader who’d do anything for the Pharaoh.

Mahad followed Atem into the puzzle and sealed himself with Atem and Zorc. He couldn’t bring himself to wipe Atem’s name from his memory fearing he would be lost forever. So Mahad sealed his voice away. He could never speak to him but Atem would never be truly lost

Mahad tried his best to keep his distance and only step in when needed while they both lingered in the puzzle's labyrinth. He didn’t want his presence to trigger any hint of a memory
