I would play the shit out of this.
Please support this game! I've been following it forever and the developers obviously put a lot of love into finally repping my people as Not Just Generic Bad Guys To Be Slaughtered in QuickTime Events, but the unabashed horse girls we truly are. I really love how outspoken she is about representing proper care and compassion for these animals in the industry too.
Experience the legendary adventures of a brave courier rider! Bond with your horse and tame the open wilds of 13th century Mongolia.
Found it! Reblogging to kickstart when I’m at my laptop.
This sounds SUPER COOL! I love the idea of video games more than the act of playing them. This is more because I have a connective tissue disorder and my hands are SOOOOO fragile and fucked up. Combat games are a solid nope because I like being able to tie my shoes. Puzzle and exploration games, however, bring me great joy. A game that promises us a different cultural representation is very exciting. Horses are an integral part of Mongolian culture, and this feels like an excellent branch off the original Windstorm games.

I want to start doing artist alleys next year, but I'm really apprehensive about two scenarios that could happen. 1. Someone shows up and starts talking nonstop about a novel they never wrote, with their fictional characters they never tried to bring to life, and retains me from making my sales or 2. Someone shows up to degrade my work in front of everyone and make me feel embarrassed about my work. Have you ever faced any of these situations? What did you do to get around them?
Kiriska:
This happens. Not too often, but it happens, and I think it's good to have a few strategies prepared so you aren't caught out trying to figure out what to do when it happens. I generally make a point to greet everyone that approaches my table, and someone talking to/at me does not prevent me from doing this, regardless of who they are. I will stop mid-conversation with a customer to greet another customer, then return to the conversation if it's one I'm interested in. People generally understand. If the conversation is not one I'm interested in, I will try to direct more attention to the new customer/other people at the table, or do something on my phone. Often, this redirection of attention away from the person being a barnacle, is enough to get the person to back off. If not though, further strategies include: a) doing stuff on your phone and saying, "Sorry, I really need to take care of this thing," and typing rapidly, b) texting a friend to come to your table, then having a conversation with that friend, c) texting a friend/staff to come watch your table while you take a break/go to the bathroom, etc. You can also try just being direct. "Hey, that sounds cool, but I don't have time/brain power to process right now and want to just focus on tabling[/drawing/whatever you're doing]." In my experience, these people are usually just socially oblivious and don't necessarily understand they're annoying/making people uncomfortable. Some might appreciate the directness.
This is less likely to happen, at least not as you describe. It takes a lot of energy, effort, and confidence to actively tear someone down in real life, and there's basically nothing to be gained from it, so people aren't likely to do this, even if they hate your work for some reason. What's more likely is that people may make insensitive, offhand comments like "I could do this," "My kid/cousin/brother/etc can draw better," "This is too expensive for what it is," "Why would anyone pay $x for this," etc. You need to ignore these people. Usually, they're making this comment to someone they're with and not to you directly, even if you're in easy earshot, so you aren't expected to respond. If they do direct the comment at you, you can still choose to ignore them. Another option is to respond neutrally or positively: "[Person] can draw better." -> "That's great! I'll work hard to get better." "This is too expensive." -> "I'm sorry it doesn't fit your budget." (If you have less expensive items, you might choose to point them out.) "This isn't worth $x." -> "I understand if it doesn't fit your priorities or budget." You can expand on any of these if you want, but I think it's easiest to keep the interaction short. The goal is just to have these people move on, not to change their mind.

watching twilight and I keep making myself laugh imagining if it was just alucard or any other vampire instead of Edward. POV nausferatu goes to ur school
Not to be all "the children have forgotten the sacred texts!" but I just saw someone refer to a ship between two people who are good friends in canon as a crackship.
Hon. No. Crackship doesn't just mean "not canon". It's difficult to imagine two people who spend significant canon time together as a crackship. Crackship is when you write Galactus getting fucked by Tony the Tiger.
Gotta say, my absolute favourite notes on this so far have been the number of people congratulating Tony on his rebound from the Grinch.
Lovely to see we have spaces where you can gain access to so much literature!
I use Libby all the time. Highly recommend it as a way to support your local library.
i hate the "we should only have queer actors playing queer characters" argument for several reasons. but what annoys me the most is that people who argue this straight up don't realize that it's illegal to ask someone about their sexuality in relation to a job interview. like an audition. i don't think breaking anti-discrimination laws to screen people's sexualities to determine their employment is the woke take you think it is.
and just. setting that aside. if you're saying "we should only have queer actors playing queer characters" you're saying that queer people must be publicly out to play a queer character. even if that actor and that character have the same sexuality. that actor has to disclose that to the whole world. again. i don't think demanding queer people to out themselves in order to engage with a queer acting role is doing anyone any good.
head in hands. it's acting. it's playing make believe. i don't care if the actress playing a lesbian character has kissed a woman before. i care if she's good at pretending she has.
this video has been going around for a while but the English subtitles didn't match the energy of the spoken French at all. i had to fix it.

Hey, did y'all see this?
I saw this when running newpipe. But wait, it gets deeper. I clicked on the details buttons and it said as of today, we have 83 days left until Google rolls out this new requirement for apps inside and outside of the google play store. If any developer disagrees with their new terms and fees, they will be blocked!
I'll share some of the info below:
Looks like they're trying to nuke the remaining privacy and freedoms we have left on the internet.
What to do?
-Get your developer friends to not comply to their new guides
- Sign the open letter on the site and take action by checking out the full resources list on their website as well!
To summarize, this is all daunting especially when you feel all alone with unfair and inhumane regulations comming out faster than improvements but we got this working together!
Share the link with your friends, family and anyone who will listen!
Your phone is about to stop being yours. In September 2026, Google will block every Android app whose developer hasn't registered with them.
If you're in the US, I created a petition to make it easier to contact senators and congressmen.
Join 1 people. Google is trying to make people hand over government id in order to make an Android app. If they don't, then that app can't b

you know if you think about it Kaiba is the reason the series is the way it is. yugi didn't have any particular connection to Duel Monsters in the series until the one-off chapter with Kaiba. and his autism was so powerful that it not only essentially warped the entire world around his special interest but created a centuries spanning universal obsession with his favorite card game
anyway i guess moral of the story is, believe in the power of autism
I do really love it when women write graphic and fucked up things. I feel like so often people react to fucked up fiction with “of course a disgusting man would write this 🙄” and it often carries an unspoken (honestly sometimes spoken) message of “a woman’s PURE and DELICATE and FEMININE mind could NEVER think of something this VILE”. Thank you women in fucked up fiction 🫡

Bickering, of course, would get Malik nowhere. Katsuya would do as many little hand rubs and pleading mumblings to the cards as he saw fit. “Come on, come on,” he muttered to the open booster box on top of the glass display counter. “Luck be a lady tonight.”
It wasn’t a luck one could force to take sides at this point. Malik knew that. And yet, when Katsuya’s gaze flickered back at him—
—Malik hoped the cards would be kind for once.
“Or a man,” Katsuya tacked on.
Malik furrowed his brows. “That’s not how the saying goes.”
Or, Malik Ishtar accompanies his boyfriend Jounouchi Katsuya to Kame Game and finds himself confronted with thoughts about booster box mapping and the ways people make bids for attention.
