Loki Odinson:

   UHHHHH- while the original song I find fairly endearing, this version? It honestly gives me some thriller/stalker vibes, which is not a good sign. Based on the lyrics though? ‘My only friend was a stray kitty’ especially? I’m getting the feeling that in this instance, I’m the stalker. Oh, no-

Scarecrow/Jonathan Crane:

   Oooh, I love Mother Mother songs. Let's see... Well, I gotta say, it does have Scarecrow's vibe. The song is about trying to force change in yourself, but said change isn't working (And you end up hurting yourself by trying to in the process.) Or...at least that's my read of it.

   So, Someone tried to change themselves for the relationship and it didn't work, which ended up hurting them? Sounds like a failed villain redemption and subsequent relapse to me. (Try to be not a villain for your civilian partner, only to end up turning around later type of thing?) ...So, I'm gonna assume this is BTAS Scarecrow, then-

Brahms Heelshire:

   I- I mean... well first of all, the 'dressed in green' line would imply that Brahms is the frog, seeing as his cardigan's green and I never wear green, in fact, I usually wear black or brown, which are actual scorpion colours anyway-

Tomura Shigaraki:

   Ooooh, that's a nice match. Honestly, yeah, it kind of feels that way, especially with what quirk I gave my S/I, and Shiggo's quirk as well. 

   Sounds like someone attempting to coerce someone else into joining a ‘team’, only to finally open their heart to said person, and right then, that person they coerced gets hurt because they were joining that team? Idk, maybe you could replace that 'team' thing with the LOV? (Or the Paranormal liberation front?) Either way, sounds angsty, I'm in!

Aaravos:

   Well, that's certainly not what I expected-

   Okay, so what am I getting from this... Well, duality first of all, perhaps indecisiveness? So this is probably talking about me then, haha. Honestly from that context, this makes way more sense.

Newt Scamander:

   Yeah, I feel like the lyrics on this one are pretty self-explanatory. Person the song is in pov of was in a bad relationship before and they’re scared to be open to their new lover.

   Honestly, in the context of this involving Newt, it reminds me of this 'x reader fic' I came across at one point, that involved the reader coming home from fighting in WW2 and being severely affected by it. It was pretty good all things considered.

Prince Stolas:

   Wait, isn't this song about being trans? Regardless, lyrics-wise sounds pretty accurate, to me at least, especially in the story I gave him with my S/I. Poor man didn't deserve all that hardship, he only has his daughter and his man and me, now.

Viktor (Arcane)

   I swear to god, it was on shuffle, I promise- What a coincidence that it ended up being the awesome song from his own source! Though, that doesn't bode well for the relationship, I guess. Sounds like it'll be angsty, oh no. But then again, knowing who Viktor is, I suppose that's kind of a given.

   I get vibes of 'everything is crumbling down around us, so let's spend these last few moments of normalcy together' from this match up. (Which should make sense with where Viktor ends up going in LOL lore.)

Rook Blonco:

   I can't say I expected this one either. I also can't say I'm super clear on who in this dynamic would be the one who's pov this song is from here?

   Obviously, more angst. The song is about changing yourself for someone you love, a theme we saw with Scarecrow as well. Hmm, there's a lot more angst here than I expected...

Vilkas (Skyrim):

   Oh no. Vilkas, hun, don't say shit like this, you're breaking your husband's heart- 

   Bad snippet of the song since you can’t actually hear any lyrics, but yeah. Nothing like a little bit of ‘I don’t think they’d really love me’ to get the heart wrenching, right?

Anyway, though!

   Break was completely unconscious; he’d been that way ever since the war with the Liberation army.

   Shigaraki couldn’t stay by his side forever, especially if he was to get stronger. In fact, this would be the last time he’d visit before getting his newest upgrades. Shigaraki wasn’t too worried, though, as he wasn’t the only visitor. He even saw Toga leave right as he arrived, so he knew Break wouldn’t be alone.

   Shigaraki could still hear the doctor’s words after Dabi and Twice dragged him in. Bleeding, unconscious, and barely breathing, it was hard not to be unsettled.

   "He’s stable, but comatose, and it’s hard to determine when he’ll wake up." Dr Garaki had explained.

   "You sound surprised."  

   "That’s because I am, Dabi." The doctor turned to him in bewilderment. "Injuries like this usually result in brain death, and that’s in the best-case scenario." It had been a miracle that Break was still alive.

   Now there he was, in a hospital bed, hooked up to machines with a ventilator to help him breathe. His oldest and closest friend, the one he could relate to in so many ways, and the one person he could say he ‘loved’, was now on the brink of death? It felt wrong. Break’s place was by Shigaraki’s side, not in this infirmary. He’d be gone for months, so, hopefully, Break would wake up before then. It would be nice to have him to welcome him back, at least. Though, with how long it had already been, it was hard to say how likely that was.

   From what the others had told him, Break was worried about him. Apparently, Break was attacked by multiple strong quirk-users at once while trying to find him. Twice’s doubles had just barely made it on the scene in time to stop them from killing him.

   "I appreciate the thought-" Shigaraki muttered as he placed his gloved hand on Break’s. "-but I told you to stay out of it." Not that Break couldn’t hold his own. It was the great numbers and their plans with Gigantomachia that Shigaraki was worried about. By himself, they whittled him down and drove him into a corner, and now he was in that stupid coma. Shigaraki’s hand reached up and started scratching at his neck when he thought of it. If Break and Twice hadn’t already killed them, Shigaraki would’ve dusted the culprits without a second thought.

   "Tomura Shigaraki?" Dr Garaki stepped into the room. "Everything has been prepared. We’re ready to begin."

   When Break’s quirk first developed, he was overwhelmed by the sudden appearance of his new prey drive and attacked a fellow student. After this, he was evaluated, the doctors discovering that his quirk was a mix of his parent’s quirks. It was decided that his quirk, then named ‘Boogeyman’, was far too dangerous to leave alone. The doctors gave him medication that was meant specifically to suppress dangerous quirks like his. At the time, Blake wanted nothing more than to be a Hero, so this reality crushed him.

   After some time taking this medication and dealing with his abusive parents, he found solace in a friend of his that he met while playing an online video game. They became great friends, despite neither divulging their real name, simply calling himself 'Break', instead. During their conversations, they became fairly close, so close that they even began talking about their quirks. By this point, Blake lost interest in the idea of being a Hero, so it didn't bother him nearly as much; He was kind of happy that he had a friend with an apparently 'dangerous' quirk as well, though. His friend apparently could turn anything he touched with all five fingers to dust. When his friend heard about Break having to take pills to suppress his quirk, he urged them to stop taking it, reasoning that a lot of time has passed since their initial freak out, and they most likely had a better handle on it now.

   Break thought about it, and eventually, decided to try it. He skipped the medication for one day, then two, then three, and on until he was finally not taking it at all. His friend was right, it seemed, he had a far better handle on it now. But, that changed after his abusive father acted up the next time. His quirk activated after his father grabbed Break's throat, which would later leave a bruise. His father wasn't killed, but the resulting injury was bad enough that the hospital was called. By the time the ambulance arrived, Break had fled, and started living on the streets. After that incident, Break started going by that chosen name 'Break' instead of his real name.

   While on the streets, though, he was suddenly approached by someone. Chisaki, aka 'Overhaul', who offered to take him in with a few other poor saps he found on the street. With nowhere else to go, Break accepted his offer, and Chisaki took him in. Chisaki quickly found him to be a very valuable ally due to his quirk and used what resources were available to help him get better control over it. It eventually got to the point that Break became one of Chisaki's secret Aces. All the while, the two ended up developing a close relationship.

   However, the entire time Chisaki did keep one secret from him: Eri. Chisaki could tell right away that Break wouldn't be on-board with anything he had planned for her, and if Break found out about it, it would likely result in tense relations at best, and betrayal at worst. Chisaki was not about to let one of the Aces in his deck get away like that, so he made sure that everyone knew not to let him know anything about Eri. Making up lies and excuses for any loose end Break found. Break, trusting Chisaki, didn't see any reason not to believe him, so he just went along with it for the most part. But the lies couldn't be kept up with forever, and Break eventually figured it out.

   Once Break realized what was happening, he confronted Chisaki right away, who tried to play it off, but Break was infallible in his moral compass toward things like this. Chisaki warned him not to do something someone would regret, but Break insisted that he wasn't about to let this slide. Then, Chisaki lunged forward, and there was suddenly a splattering of blood and viscera on the wall and floor. Overhaul paused for a moment and looked over the carnage, and considered reversing it, but turned away and ordered a nearby grunt to clean up the mess. In all honesty though, after that, he kind of regretted it.

   Little did he know though, Break was still alive. Right when Chisaki lunged, he managed to sink into his shadow cast on the grunt behind him, effectively saving himself, and unintentionally faking his death. Guilt wracked his brain at the grunt's death, but he also felt immense shock, horror, and sorrow that Chisaki, who he thought actually cared about him, would be so quick to kill him like that. He spent a day or two as a shadow to process that, leaving the base to collect his thoughts. That's when he met Giren, who was still looking for potential recruits for the League of Villains. Break, at first, was hesitant to join another group after what happened with Chisaki, but knowing he was being hunted by pretty much the entire roster of Heroes in Japan left him with few options.

   He showed up at the League's bar, where he met Shigaraki. The moment he heard Shigaraki's voice, he recognized him, same vice versa, as Break introduced himself. Like Clockwork, the two ended up catching up when the others weren't around and quickly rekindled their friendship, which eventually developed into a far deeper bond. It very quickly developed to the point that it was pretty obviously not platonic anymore.

   The Thought of Eri, though, bothered Break to no end. It ate away at his mind every moment of free time he had until eventually, he decided he had to do something. He went back to the Hissaikai base and, when nobody else was around, appeared to the little girl. Eri was obviously scared of him at first, but very quickly realized he was actually being genuine with his friendly demeanor. He kept going back and forth like this, being with the League and Shigaraki for most of the day, then going to the Hissaikai and building rapport with Eri, until he eventually developed enough of a bond with her that Eri started considering him a friend. Or, more accurately, started considering him her 'Uncle Break', while Break ended up seeing Eri in a similar light, which only made the knowledge of what was happening to her worse.

   Then, Chisaki walked into the room one day to find Eri missing. Break had taken Eri, but Chisaki was still under the impression that Break was dead, thus didn’t think of him being the cause.

  The League members were shocked to see Break with a little girl. In fact, many of them were against having Eri anywhere near the League’s headquarters. But, after explaining what happened, it became a bit clearer. Shigaraki was obviously opposed to having her around at first, but in true Eri fashion, she eventually wore everyone down, and Shigaraki actually ended up tolerating her. The other League members also ended up taking a liking to her, and from that point on, she was basically the designated little sister of the League.
