Ya'll ever think about your romantic F/Os post-orgasmic?
I'm not talking in the sexy, 'oh that's so hot' way, but in the comfortable, 'even if just for a few minutes, all their anxiety is gone and we're just holding one-another' way.
The 'it's just us for a little while' way, where it feels like everything else in the world doesn't exist and we can just lie in each other's arms, feeling the afterglow and enjoying each other's presence.
I'm convinced that if circumstances had been different, they would've been friends, or at least gotten along in some fashion. Megatron and his abuse/Starscream's Stockholm syndrome was all that ruined their chance at having a positive relationship, istg.
If Megatron hadn't noticed Starscream was afraid of predacons and put them together specifically to fuck with Starscream, or if Shockwave hadn't threatened Starscream's safety by potentially replacing him and rendering him 'useless' in Megatron's eyes? If Predaking had realized the position that Starscream was in???
Megatron would've literally murdered Starscream if he didn't prove useful to him; he literally said that to Starscream's face and tried to kill him multiple times already by that point. Starscream tried to live by himself, but had nowhere to go and no allies, struggled the entire time, and only survived by the skin of his teeth and extreme good luck.
Starscream wasn't being a hard-ass to Predaking out of cruelty; it was pure desperation. Desperation to tame what Starscream and the other Decepticons believed was a dangerous animal that - according to historical record - regularly ate Cybertronians. It'd be the equivalent of an army general ordering someone to tame a man-eating grizzly bear under threat of being executed if they failed.
Starscream bringing up the idea of terminating Project Predacon is - context in mind - obviously also an attempt to prove useful and keep his standing from being usurped by Shockwave. Most of Starscream's motives behind 90% of the stuff he does during that point in the story is trying to convince Megatron he's still useful so Megatron doesn't fucking murder him.
Starscream shooting Predaking in the back when he fought Megatron is also another act of desperation, coupled with a 'rock in a hard place' scenario. Because while on the surface, it seems like he could've easily benefitted no matter who won, allow me to point something out:
Megatron, Starscream's abuser, has died multiple times already by that point, but has come back each time and beaten Starscream nearly to death every time he's returned. Ultimately, Starscream choosing fawn and helping Megatron makes more sense when you consider that regardless of what happened, if Starscream didn't help, Megatron probably would've hurt him, or killed him; if he lost, Megatron could just return to life and seek vengeance on Starscream, and if he won, Megatron would've known Starscream did nothing and probably would've beaten him for doing nothing.
Ultimately, what I'm saying is, if Starscream and Predaking had the time, conversations, and neutral environments to do so, I'm convinced they would've at least been friends. I mean, ffs, Starscream ended up having that time, conversations, and neutral environment with Shockwave in the TFP movie, and THEY somehow ended up becoming friends.
Poor Starscream. First, he's born into Quintesson slavery, watched Megatron commit genocide against his entire race, had to deal with Megatron's abuse for years, watched the last seekers (to his knowledge) die (And no, the vehicon seekers don't count, they're canonically considered their own thing), then he tried to escape his abuser and got organ harvested, almost starved to death, had to murder a clone of himself, then all the shit involving the Stockholm syndrome and Predacons?!
Also, just now realized after typing that out: Megatron canonically committed genocide against the Predacons, then did so to the seekers, then did so to the predacons for a second time (And a third time, if you count when he brought them back as zombiecons). Jesus, reverend-
Predaking and Starscream have a common enemy for a common reason, and are both intelligent, well-mannered warriors! They have a lot more in common than it seems, and the fact they're both - to their knowledge - the last of their kinds??? Come on now! That could've been such an interesting dynamic!
In order to truly love someone, whether romantically, familially, or platonically, you need to respect them. Without respect, you don't actually love someone. Loving someone means you respect their boundaries and wouldn't hurt them intentionally.
Because of that, when you hear that your F/O(s) love(s) you (which is true, by the way, they adore you), never forget that also means your F/O(s) would never cross your boundaries. They'd never do something they know would harm you; physically, mentally, or emotionally.
They love you. REALLY love you. They want you to be happy, and they want to be your haven, your sanctuary. They would never ever cross a boundary line you set, or do anything else they know would hurt you. Remember that.
It doesn't matter what other people say about them, your F/O(s) love(s) you. They really love you. Because of that, they would never harm you.
You ever just look at a picture or a GIF of your beloved F/O, and all that goes through your head is a barrage of:
OHMYGODITSTHEM! DKFJSIKDFJSLKFJSLJEFJS-! *Unholy screeching /a*

Does anyone wanna hear about my OC F/Os?
Yes, info dump, please!
Yes, but only the non-spoiler parts, since I'm interested in your stories
Nah, I prefer your fandom-based F/Os
I do plan to make comics and stuff, since most of my oc F/Os are in stories/headworlds of mine. Even the ones from dreams I had are being put into a story/stories.
I'm just gonna blabber about Copycat, my Marvel S/I, for a second-
Copycat is a mutant, and his mutant powers are the reason a lot of things happen to him.
Now, Copycat's mutant powers have nothing to do with his shapeshifting, or his cat-like abilities, or his fire abilities. His emotion-based and necromancy abilities come from the Soul Stone, save for his reanimation, spiritual awareness, and soul-stealing abilities, which come from his parentage, being that he's the son of 'Mistress Death', the literal embodiment of death itself in Marvel's canon.
So... what mutant power does Copycat have? I mean, that's all of his abilities, right? Wrong.
Copycat has a mutant power that was passed from his grandfather - Lee - who was a much more obvious mutant. Lee had mutant abilities involving luck, which got him into and out of a lot of trouble, basically making him an asshole version of Bugs Bunny.
Mainly, Lee was part of Hydra, and ended up captured by the American government. During this, he realized he was on the wrong side of the war, and seeing no way out of his predicament, Lee prayed to anyone who would listen that he'd do anything to get a second chance.
Lee's mutant powers caused Mistress Death to hear him and take him up on his offer. Since she 'coincidentally' began feeling lonely and hollow in her Death realm's solitude, but not wanting a romantic relationship. Thus, Mistress Death asked for one of his grandchildren to take as her own child, seeing as Lee already had sons and then could not have more kids (another product of the luck power). Lee agreed, and thus, Copycat.
This mutant luck diluted a little with Copycat's father, to the point Jack didn't even know he had mutant powers. (Lee's luck abilities also caused that) Then, Jack had Copycat, and Copycat's mutant power with luck was also just as easily overlook-able, resulting in Copycat getting run over and meeting Death in the Death realm, gaining his other powers.
...In gaining his other powers, though, Copycat's mutant luck ability got boosted, thus allowing Copycat to escape Mistress Death and return to the living world, meeting Loki. 'Coincidentally', meeting Loki at just the right opportune time to bond with them and gain Loki's trust enough to actually have a meaningful relationship with him.
Blake's ability with luck is baked into his character, and it's the only reason he survives most situations.
Pure, generational, mutant-grade dumb luck.
Well since I ship with him and you ship with loki, how about 💠+ thor ? :3c
...You see, it's funny because I know their dynamic, but I never thought to actually describe it before-
Copycat and Thor are buddies! Copycat admires Thor (Platonically), and Thor helps Copycat out of his shell. ...And by that, I mean Thor drags Copycat around like luggage, similar to how he drags Loki into social situations (Sometimes literally).
When they interact, it usually goes one of two ways: Either Thor and Copycat hang out like normal people, or they end up feeding on each other's impulsiveness, stubbornness, and himbo-isms, causing unintended chaos. ...Either way, they enjoy themselves, so it's probably fine.
Before Copycat and Loki end up together in-story, Thor actually picks up on Copycat's feelings for Loki and starts playing the role of Blake's wingman, pushing Copycat and Loki together whenever possible.
Extra Fun fact: In my Copyverse Storyline, Copycat actually interacts with Thor first. (Since Loki is in the SHIELD helicarrier cell at the time.)
