also ik everyone likes trans billy but what about trans stu where he is the only trans one? how would billy act with him? like with helping him bind etc
sorry i like. really need this comfort rn
When Stu first mentioned a binder, Billy was like, "oh I have one!" And Stu was so surprised and thankful. And then Billy comes over to his house later holding a looseleaf binder from Staples. He hands it to Stu and is just waiting for him to flatten his chest with it.
And Stu has to explain that the binder he wants isn't that kind of binder.
But Billy points out that it's flat and he could just stick it in his shirt. Stu takes a deep inhale and tries to explain the reality of that.
Eventually Stu is trying to find a heavy duty sports bra at some store to do the trick, but he spots KT tape instead. He's buys it, a bit nervous, and calls Billy over.
"I think this will help," he says, handing the box of tape to Billy.
"Why not just use scotch tape?" Billy asks. "Or like duct tape?"
Stu can't tell if Billy is messing with him at this point. "Just help me put it on," he mumbles, tugging off his shirt.
Billy looks surprised. "You're okay with me seeing you shirtless?" He fidgets with the box as Stu looks away as if realizing that this was in fact the first time he was ever shirtless around Billy.
Heat rushes to his face and Billy clears his throat. "Hey man, do you have any scissors?" he asks, lifting the box.
When they're on Stu's bed, the box opened and Billy measuring out how long to cut the tape, Stu is still avoiding eye contact. His cheeks are flushed and there's tears threatening their way out of his eyes.
He explains to Billy how this tape will hopefully work and make him look more like the other boys. Billy just listens because he isn't really sure what to say.
"Can I?" Billy asks. He's cut the pieces as best as he could and now he holds one out to Stu's bare chest.
Billy spreads the tape across his chest and under his arms. "I think one more on this side will do," he mutters, mostly to himself. He glances up at Stu, who looks like he's have a full on mental breakdown. "Dude, you alright?"
Stu nods, wiping at his face. "I'm so fucking embarrassed right now."
"Why?" Billy scoffs. "You're worried I'll go around telling everyone that I was touching some dude's chest all day?"
Stu chokes on a laugh. "You're not that gay," he says.
Stu smiles and looks at his now-taped up chest. "It's so flat."
"Now you can't say no when we go swimming later," Billy said. "And you can't say no when we jump the fence at school. You're officially one of the boys."
Stu's grin was so wide that he was scared his smile would tear his face apart. "You're so weird, Billy. One of the boys? Me? C'mon."
And as it turned out, years later in highschool, Stu was in fact not just "one of the boys" but the most popular boy.
