"monosexual is wrong, it groups homosexuals with their oppressors (heteros)!"
yet they use the terms opposite sex attracted and same sex attracted to group bisexuals with everyone else besides other bisexuals, including our own oppressors. God forbid they use dual sex and other sex attracted when talking about people both dually and exclusively attracted to the other sex, or alternatively, dual attracted and same sex attracted. No, bisexual attraction must always be divided into halves and never recognize as a singular attraction because that makes it comfortable to them, they cannot visualize the idea of the sexes being preferences like hair or height, no, it has to always be different attractions, never a singular attraction.
I'll stop using monosexual when they stop using OSA and SSA _/(-_-)\_
You're totally right!
Considering how they also see us as their oppressors you'd think that they would never want to be associated with us, but they inevitably always do it instead. When it's convient they call us gay, we have gay attraction and we are oppressed only because of our same-sex attraction. They even turn historical bisexual figures gay just to show that homosexuality always existed (then use actual gay people maybe? It's not like you're lacking of them anyway). But at the same time bisexuals and homosexuals are total opposites. North and South, fire and ice, oil and water- you get it. If we were that different it shouldn't be this easy to mistake us as gay or use us for "gay representation", but here we are. (Don't get me wrong, we are different, but they exaggerate this difference only to portray us as basically heterosexuals).
Gay people love to say that "LGB" spaces are for "same-sex attracted people only", just to give us the illusion that we are included too, but what they really mean is that it is just for gay people. They never realise (actually, they just don't care) that we are oppressed for our dual attraction too, not only the same-sex one. In reality, they just want a LG only space, that's it. In fact, they often complain when we share our bisexual experiences (which may contain opposite-sex relationships or attraction) by accusing us of "pushing heterosexuality" into gay spaces.
Then, whenever it's convient, we're indistinguishable from straight people. Long story short, we are never actually bisexual, fully bisexual and only bisexual to society. Bisexuality is still not seen as an actual orientation that stands alone on its own, but a mix of the other two, which is an oxymoron, but all right, I do not expect any type of coherence or logic from biphobes.
It's not like you can pick and choose a part of bisexuality to make it fit into a monosexual box, it's not a damn Lego piece. You can force it how much you want, but it's still bisexuality.
I would also stop calling them monosexuals if they didn't think in a such monosexual way, you know.
